samba - xp -ad issue
I was hoping that someone has seen a similar problem to the one I am facing. I have a samba 3 server connected to an windows domain. All connections appear correct most of the users can connect via windows xp with no issue. However there are a unlucky few whose work stations cannot connect. All xp work stations are the same (at least as well as a large company can get). The user in question

Bug in yesterday's CVS..
Hi Timo. I'm doing some testing with yesterday's CVS code and believe I've found a bug. In SquirrelMail, I get 5 messages in INBOX (doesn't matter how). I click "Toggle All" then "Delete". All 5 messages move to Trash. The Trash folder gets a link "expunge". I click that and get the following error: ERROR : Bad or malformed request. Query:STORE

Maildir + NFS + multiple machines = spectacular failure
I'm running beta7 on two machines, with maildir on NFS. I have lockd running on all machines. I've found that Dovecot is highly unstable with NFS when accessing a mailbox on more than one machine at the same time. Both dovecot machines have: mmap_disable = yes lock_method = fcntl NFS is version 3, exported from a third linux machine. All machines are running 2.6.9 kernel. Any ideas

SAMBA 3 as PDC - W2K/WXP Pro logon trouble
I have a Samba 3 PDC running with an LDAP backend on Red Hat 8. All authentication appears to be working correctly but I can't login to the domain from a W2K or WXP Pro workstation after I have successfully joined them to the domain. If I login locally to the workstation I can browse the Samba shares just fine. I have checked the schannel and sign or seal settings on both the workstations

beta8: cores on corrupted index file
Timo, I saw a couple of these cores over the weekend. The syslog says: May 21 19:04:48 emerald dovecot: [ID 107833 mail.error] IMAP(user): Corrupted index cache file /home/students/s/user/.imap/sent-mail-apr-2004/dovecot.index.cache: indexid changed With a resulting core file from imap at this time. I also discovered a remaining lock file on the person's imap file: -rw------- 1 user

1.0rc3 problem w/ Thunderbird 1.5.0.5 on Mac OS X
Howdy, I'm very excited about the new dovecot release because I've been having problems with a hang on saving messages to my sent-mail box over imap+ssl. I installed 1.0rc3 over my 1.0rc2 install on FreeBSD 5.3 in the same manner as all the other upgrades I've done. After checking my email, tbird became nonresponsive and I saw this repeating in my logs ad infinitum: Aug 2 10:17:10

Hoping someone's seen this and/or can help...heh. I'm running the at rpm of dovecot, version dovecot-1.0-0_27.rc10.el4.at. I'm running it on RHEL4, up to date. Hi, Installed Dovecot 1.1.3 today and started receiving panic errors on a few of our users: dovecot: [ID 107833 mail.crit] Panic: IMAP(xx): file mail-index-transaction-view.c: line 204: unreached When I upgraded, I deleted all of our users index files so it started with a clean slate. Losing messages
Hi, I have been running dovecot cvs happily for.. well.. very, very long now. Don't remember when I switched from 0.99, but it was back in the test-days, long before the alpha's. Anyway, it seems to have been working very well all the time. But recently three of my clients have claimed to have lost mail when moving from Thunderbird. I even experienced it myself once. I'm using
