deliver LDA permission problem
Hello,
I'm trying to get deliver LDA working with postfix in a virtual domain
configuration.
I'm using dovecot v1.0.rc10. My setup is pretty much exactly as in the wiki
(only the path to deliver and auth-master socket are different).
I'm having a little problem with permissions and this occurred which I think is
undesirable:

Config Error Puzzle
Can somebody help me get this right please. I'm trying to upgrade to
version 1 and I get this error which I can't workaround:

Line 33 is the passdb file name ??
I'm trying this with 1.0 beta3 on a Devil linux system (v 1.2.9).

Deliver/LDA, no data in the logs, even with debug set (dovecot + qmail-ldap), and sieve issue
Hi,
I am trying to integrate sieve with qmail-ldap. I can't get it to work, and
deliver isn't logging anything to the log files (or syslog, if selected).
Hence I have got no way to diagnose the problem. Any help appreciated.

Trouble getting lda to gzip incomming mails (zlib plugin)
Hi!
I've followed the guide at http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Zlib to try to make Dovecot gzip incomming mails, but it doesn't seem to work.
I've made pop/imap read gzipped files, and this seems to work perfectly, but LDA is still saving incomming mails in plain text.
There's not too much information out there regarding the zlib module, so I'm not sure where to start

Dsync and hidden files
Hi,
I'm in the process of changing from Dovecot v1 to v2 and changing to mdbox in
the process. I've come across a little problem which I was hoping there would
be a workaround for.
There are sieve config files in the home directories which are hidden files.
Dsync croaks when it finds one of these because they are not mbox format.
It would be nice if they were ignored (or copied

Variable expansion in LDA vs POP/IMAP
Hello all,
I'm trying to understand when exactly the variable substitution
happens in Dovecot, as I get different results in the LDA and in the POP/IMAP
server.
Here's my general setup:
- Postfix MTA, delivers mail via Dovecot LDA
- users list sits in a database
- mail directory is stored in the database, but with
Dovecot variables inside
Delivery works perfectly fine,

User unknown in local recipient table? Dovecot LDA/Postfix
This probably is a postfix problem, but I think there are lots of postfix
experts/users on this list, and have heard a lot good things about this
list, so I am just giving it a try. Thanks in advance!
I am using dovecot-1.0.0-8_56.src.rpm downloaded from atrpms.net, and
rebuilt from it(rpmrebuild ...). Postfix is 2.4.3.
I followed documents at http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA and LDA/Postfix, and

Using dovecot as LDA for postfix
Hi
Here is my environment:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.7 (Tikanga)
postfix-2.9.1-1.rhel5
dovecot 1.0.7
I want to config a complete postfix-dovecot mail server. First I configured postfix to use procmail, its default LDA and dovecot for pop3 and imap. I didn't changed main.cf a lot, just myhostname and a few other properties. I didn't set home_mailbox. About dovecot.conf

LDA, postfix and multiple virtual users : postfix is still the MDA
Hi,
I have some trouble to use dovecot as MDA. I followed the instructions
in http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA and http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Postfix
I have multiple virtual users, stored in a LDAP server, and it look like
postfix is still delivering the mails directly to the maildirs.
Dovecot version : 1.2.15 (using the 1:1.2.15-4 squeeze packets)
postfix version : 2.7.1 (using the 2.7.1-1

Dovecot 1.0.3: LDA + quota plugin
I have problem with quota limit settings for "deliver" - global plugin
settings overrides userdb quota setting !!!
imap and pop3 works fine.
Quota limit for user is set to "quota=maildir:ignore=Kosz:storage=512".
And "maildirsize" file in user's mail_location contains "524288S" line -
good.
But when I set:

Postfix with Deliver (LDA) - user unknown
Good Day All! I am attempting to configure deliver as our LDA. I am
also configuring the server to use Postfix instead of Sendmail. I
have followed the all the documentation and examples I could find.
Below are my Dovecot and Postfix configs. Can someone please smack me
upside the head and tell me why I am getting "user unknown" errors?
If i don't use deliver as the LDA, all

Simple Stacking of Two Columns
Hi R-Helpers,
Sorry to bother you, but I have a simple task that I can't figure out how to do.
For example, I have some names in two columns
NamesWide<-data.frame(Name1=c("Tom","Dick"),Name2=c("Larry","Curly"))
and I simply want to get a single column

Simple Stacking of Two Columns
Hi,
You were on the right track using stack(), but you just pass the entire data frame as a single object, not the separate columns:
> stack(NamesWide)
? values ? ind
1 ? ?Tom Name1
2 ? Dick Name1
3 ?Larry Name2
4 ?Curly Name2
Note that stack also returns the index (second column of 'ind' values), which tells you which column in the source data frame the stacked values originated

There must be something I am missing, because
NamesLong <- data.frame(Names = c(NamesWide$Name1, NamesWide$Name2))

I may be missing something but using the plain old c() combine function
seems to work fine:

df.combined <- data.frame(comb = c(df$left, df$right))
