Windows permissions
I think I'm fairly good with Linux (since 1991) but mostly clueless with Windows. When I need Windows help, the Web has been my savior. But not this time... I have three Windows 10 boxes which I can successfully access using xfreerdp so I presume I know the available users and passwords. However, trying to access with winexe is proving difficult. 1. The command, <winexe -U winuser

xfreerdp and SPNEGO failed
hi everyone I realise this not exactly on topic, I'm hoping an expert or two could confirm that following is not caused somehow by samba: I try xfreerdp to connect to a Win10 which is a member of NT-style domain and it fails this way: [14:55:33:905] [8048:8055] [ERROR][com.freerdp.core.nla] - SPNEGO failed with NTSTATUS: 0xC0000017 [14:55:33:905] [8048:8055] [ERROR][com.freerdp.core] -

off-topic question about RDP to Win-10
Not the answer you want but xfreerdp has worked for me where rdesktop no longer does (I take because of the new security settings) xfreerdp /bpp:16 /size:1200x720 /u:"raubvogel" /v:hostname:port On Mon, Nov 12, 2018 at 5:11 AM <me at tdiehl.org> wrote: > > On Sun, 11 Nov 2018, Fred Smith wrote: > > > I have a win10 VM in virtualbox on my Linux (C7) desktop. Few questions. If kerberos ticket proxy/forward allowed on that machine. And what happens if you kinit username at REALM and then use freerdp. vi ~/.freerdp/known_hosts And delete the ip your connecting to. And, it might also be a samba bug. Try this also : ntlm_auth --request-nt-key --domain=NTDOM --username=[user] --password=[pw] For the error code: 0xc0000017 i cant determin exact

32-bit CentOS
It appears that CentOS 7 was the last one with a 32-bit version. I'm trying to install it on an older laptop and having some trouble. I have CentOS-7-i386-Everything-1810.iso and have verified it. Using either dd or mediawriter to put a copy on a 16 GB thumb drive seems to work. But then the laptop reports, "no boot image found". Note that the first 32 KB of the iso is all zeros,

What did I mess up?
Since I had a problem and resolved with the JuiceSSH app on Android a couple of weeks ago, I've had a new problem with one of my local machines. Although I've checked everything I remember changing back then, I can't find the cause and would appreciate a clue or two. (Note, JuiceSSH is not involved in this problem.) I have four local machines which should be able to use "ssh

hi, as far as i know, it has todo with some right conflict in windows or corruption in the profiles, if its a roaming profile, back it up, and rebuild a new one if its only with one user. If its user independed then its in the ‘system’ setting. the nla part. thats where i would think off also, . a wild guess, a right problem with a windows system user/group in sid/rid translations with samba. i

Secondary SSH connection
I have several local machines that, while working, I frequently use ssh to do something on a different machine. While on that second machine, I may even use ssh to do something on a third machine. All of this works exactly as it should. FWIW, all of my local machines run Fedora. Fedora currently includes openssh-9.6p1-1.fc40.4.x86_64 package. If I use JuiceSSH on my Android phone to contact one

off-topic question about RDP to Win-10
I have a win10 VM in virtualbox on my Linux (C7) desktop. I CAN connect to it with rdesktop 1.8.3 (now rather old, but it's the latest release), but cannot connect with remmina or krdc. Both of them just hang for a while then say they can't connect. Curiously, they all will connect to the win10 box in my office. They don't show any other useful information, and I don't know where

I'm using 'winexe': https://sourceforge.net/projects/winexe/ but this repository, compiled against samba 4.5, and works like a charm: https://sourceforge.net/u/mstowe/winexe/ci/master/tree/ I've tried to recompile them against samba 4.8 (louis repo), and compile flawlessy, but if i try to run them: winexe[10549]: segfault at 138 ip 00007fb165a2f3a4 sp 00007ffdf432a880 error
