Are these .conf.ext always loaded? Or only when they are configured somewhere else?

We are seeing some poor performance recently that is focused around users with large mailboxes (100,000 message /INBOX, 80,000 message subfolders, etc). The performance problem manifests as very high system% utilization - basically iowait for NFS. There are two imap servers with plenty of horsepower/memory/etc. They are connected to a 3050c cluster via gig-e. Here are the mount options:

Hi I keep on getting errors and can't connect/login to Dovecot. I did my research but unfortunately without success. It is for sure not ulimit because ulimit is set to unlimited per default already. Still , it complains about "Too many open files" but this is a test system and the service dovecot and postfix have just been started. No one except me is testing on this system.

I am having some issues with getting the prefetch working. In /etc/dovecot/dovecot-ldap.conf.ext I am having: pass_attrs = uid=user,userPassword=password,host=host,homeDirectory=userdb_home,uidNu mber=userdb_uid,gidNumber=userdb_gid If I do an ldap search from this location I am able to get these properties. ldapsearch -LLL -W -s sub -D

Hi! Running Dovecot 2.2.36 and authenticating against an OpenLDAP 2.4.45 server. Now since some update of dovecot it will not be able to authenticate your logins after a restart of the LDAP service is restarted without a reboot of the dovecot server.
