acl flag to limit imap_acl based acl changes
Hi all! I have tried the imap_acl plugin with 1.2.9 today, but was not able to limit acl changes for those mailboxes where acl changes should be forbidden. http://wiki.dovecot.org/ACL says that "a" or "admin" covers "Administration rights to the mailbox". However, removing "a" from owner acl (using "lr") does not help, the user can still

fetchmail wakeup
Does someone know, if in the new release of dovecot 2.x.x there is a feature implemented, that wakes fetchmail or any other program on a client request, or is the "fetchmail wakeup" plugin still the only way to do this (at least I've not found any other, and that plugin never worked for me),.. Return error instead of dying on time back skip?
Hello everybody! Currently, dovecot just kills itself if it detects that time has moved backwards more than a hardcoded number of seconds. I accept the reasons, but I do not like to restart dovecot manually after waiting for time to move forward again. A cron job would not help, because time might still be wrong when it restarts dovecot. All our systems run ntpd, but they might be offline

Compressing Maildir mails on delivery
Now supported by v2.0. Also as a patch to v1.2: http://dovecot.org/patches/1.2/zlib-compress.diff I'm not really sure if I should commit it to v1.2 code tree. The code contains ugly copy&pasted io_stream_copy() and v1.2 is supposed to be feature complete.. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Deliver *sometimes* delivers via /tmp?
Hi, I'm running dovecot (1.1.7) deliver and sieve (1.1.5) on a Fedora 9 platform, using selinux targetet mode. Most of the mail deliveries goes well, but once deliver tried to copy the mail to the /tmp directory, which it seems it not allowed by selinux. I guess that deliver wants to sanitize the mail or something and therefore copies it to /tmp. Before I ask for selinux to allow this, I

Inconsistent Mailbox with Eudora as POP3 client
Hello everyone, one of our customers using QUALCOMM Windows Eudora Version 7.1.0.9 as POP3 client with Dovecot 1.0.0 under Linux using Maildirs reports that on various accounts they get occasional "inconsistent mailbox" errors at quit. The same Docevot binary in the same environment on other servers works fine for several other customers and ourselves. We use Postfix 2.2 with

Dovecot 1.2.2
Hi, I've just tried upgrading from 1.1.8 to 1.2.2. As soon as the new version was started up the number of imap/pop3 processes began to climb to 800+, where I normally have about 300 or so connections at any given time. The load on the server also climbed to 150+. I've reverted back to 1.1.18, which is running just fine, but is there anything I can do to help trace what was causing the

Re: 2.2.7 compile error using --with-acl-support
If you are using the debian/rules from apt-get or the source tarball, you need to not only include --with-acl-support in debian/rules, you also need to vi debian/config.cache --> replace "ac_cv_header_sys_acl_h=${ac_cv_header_sys_acl_h=no}" with "ac_cv_header_sys_acl_h=${ac_cv_header_sys_acl_h=yes}" This will allow it to compile. Unfortunately, for me,

Unequal column lengths
Hello, I?ve tried several times to learn R, but have never gotten past a particular gate. My data are organized by column in Excel, with column headers in the first row. The columns are of unequal lengths. I export them as CSV, then import the CSV file into R. I wish to summarize the data by column. R inserts NA for missing values, then refuses to operate on columns with NA. R is importing

[2.0.5] quota in maildirsize doesn't work with mdbox
