imap-login (proxy) Connection queue full
When running Dovecot (rc6 CVS dovecot-20060808) as a proxy, why would it log the following when it has not yet maxed out the allowed number of imap-login processes?

I am seeing this logged several times per minute. From netstat, the server has 650 proxied IMAP connections and 450 proxied IMAPS connections, there

I've seen a couple of these in the log while testing the proxy too. Do you know what would cause this?

Mbox corruption - Inbox beginning with 'FFrom' or 'FrFrom'
Hello,
we're having some problems with our dovecot setup.
I've seen similar problems in the mailing list some years ago but alas
wasn't able to find a solution.
Our setup is as follows :
An MX farm (postfix) sends mails via LMTP to a director farm (dovecot
2.1.12) which proxies pop3/imap/lmtp traffic to a dovecot farm (dovecot
2.1.16).
All mailboxes and indexes are on NFS and all

I'll live with that. You most probably had your reasons, and ultimately I
agree - security first ;-)

Dovecot 2.2.16: disappearing messages, mismatched summaries, duplicated messages, excessive full re-downloads
Since you have confirmed that someone else you know is using it on
FreeBSD+ZFS without these problems, have you tried asking on the FreeBSD
support list(s)?
Seems like that may be your best bet, since it is certainly not a
generic dovecot problem (but may indeed be one or more of the settings
you are using)...
You could also go ahead and post the diff of your config and your

Doubt with imap/imap-login processes in proxy server
Hi,
I have a question I have not cleared after reading
https://wiki.dovecot.org/LoginProcess.
I'm developing a proxy server (without director, because the backend
server is specified by a ldap lookup).
My question is: the limit of imap (or pop3) concurrently users that the
proxy can handle is determined by the imap-login limit or the imap one?

Dovecot proxy: Too many open files
It appears that when running Dovecot as a proxy-only box with "login_process_per_connection = no", it ignores the value of login_max_logging_users. And in Linux, since each socket requires a file descriptor, if you don't increase the maximum number of open files that each process is allowed to have open, imap-login will reach the 1024 open file limit and start logging the following

Dovecot 2.2.16: disappearing messages, mismatched summaries, duplicated messages, excessive full re-downloads
The update to dovecot2-2.2.18/dovecot-pigeonhole-0.4.8 seems to have made problems worse. Whole directories don't load at all - or they may load a weird segment - like mail from a few months ago back and mail from the last two days, but nothing in between.
I did a

this seems to introduce a hang of nouveau in 4.10-rc if the gpu is
runtime resumed while no displays are connected at all.

R: Re: LMTP : Can't handle mixed proxy/non-proxy destinations
Hi Timo,
I'm writing to alert you that even in version 2.1. we have the error: "Can't
handle mixed proxy/non-proxy destinations" when we write to two users: one
existent and one not.
The error occurs randomly.
I configure LDAP query in the file : dovecot-ldap.conf in this way:
pass_attrs = mail=user,userPassword=password,=proxy=y,mailHost=host,
=proxy_timeout=600
