It still doesn't make sense to me. I do notice that the version you're
using is ancient (dated 26-09-2013), which may well the problem.
Do have the ability to upgrade?
Regards,
Stephan.

are there any instructions or tests i can make to check the sieve

Can't find sieve files
I have been running dovecot on a Fedora 14 host for years and am moving
up to Fedora 19.
I have things setup to run as a generic user vmail and have all users
mailboxes in /var/vmail which is owned by the vmail user. Each user has
a Maildir directory and a sieve directory. I also changed sendmail's
procmail to run dovecot so it delivers into /var/vmail/<user>/Maildir
instead of

Sieve envelope :detail "to" "xxx" does not deliver to fileinto destination
Dear Listmember.
I try to migrate from my current courier-mta setup fo postfix dovecot
setup.
I use the following scirpt to filter to the destination mailbox.
### /var/vmail/none.at/al/sieve/lists.sieve
require ["fileinto", "subaddress", "envelope" ];
if envelope :detail "to" "pdnsusers" {
fileinto "Lists.pdnsusers";

Dovecot lmtp doesn't log
Im sure because dovecot from server A takes the email from the MTA and
proxies it to the dovecot on server B that doesnt have an MTA.

Dear Listmember.
I resend this with different Subject so that the spamfilter does not
drop the mail, I hope ;-)

dovecot-sieve and LMT
Dear list,
My mail server is working perfectly. So I am trying to add feature after feature, until I have all the features I need. This has worked fine until now. I am trying to get dovecot-sieve to work. So I activated dovecot-lda and the sieve plugin and told postfix to use deliver instead of procmail. After restarting all services I then created a test sieve file. Obviously I have not yet

dovecot global sieve script problem
I cutover to a new server which uses Postfix & Dovecot to handle emails as
opposed to Postfix & Courier in the old server.
Below is the contents of my global sieve script and dovecot config info. The
dovecot-deliver.log does show that the email is being delivered to INBOX.spam
but it ends up in the INBOX instead.
If I put the exact same rule in the user script, the emails are delivered

Sieve question
I have successfully setup Postfix -> Dovecot with virtual users and spam
filtering with spamassassin. Now the last remaining part is for the user defined
rules. Let me describe my environment and what I am trying to achieve.
I have Postfix setup to call spamc and deliver to Dovecot according to the
master.cf line below.

Dovecot lmtp doesn't log
Hi,
Thanks for replying.
initially logging was done via syslog, and the custom log file for mail.*
facility was /var/log/maillog. Everything was logged normally (dovecot
login logouts, sieve scripts, extra debugging lines) but nothing regarding
LMTP. I would receive the email in my inbox but I wouldnt be able to see
anything in the logs regarding this. After that i turned off syslog and
used the

Filtering with Public Namespaces and Sieve Plugin
Hi,
after upgrading to Dovecot 1.2x including the rewritten Sieve plugin replacing 'cmusieve', messages which have formerly been filed to a "Public/Mailing-List" maildir are no longer filtered correctly. The sieve script itself is included in the user's personal-script. The messages are dropped to the INBOX rather than the "Public Namespace Maildir". Log's

Panic: file maildir-uidlist.c: line 1242 (maildir_uidlist_records_drop_expunges): assertion failed
Hi all,
after inserting another sieve-rule, I get the following backtrace on
deliver.
The mail gets delivered into the Mailbox, but as deliver does not exit
with 0, postfix bounces the mail.
The additional rule is the same as all others in my .dovecot-sieve:
