samba log level: ldap log file remains empty
Hi Kees,
this is not an LDAP issue. I have a Samba Fileserver joined to the Samba Domain controller and all 15 Minutes I get this on the Domain controller log:
? | Auth: [Kerberos KDC,ENC-TS Pre-authentication] user [(null)]\[SAMBA-SRV$@XXX.XFAE] at [Wed, 04 Dec 2024 15:58:47.044307 CET]
I tried this on the AD side:
[kdcdefaults]
max_life = 10h # Default ticket lifetime

DNS update fails after samba domain controller is restarted
Hello,
first, after provisioning everything looks ok.
After a restart the samba server wants to update internal DNS records and this fails:

What is 'dbsupdate' ?
I can assure you that dnsupdate does work with dlz.
I think you need to give us more info.

Samba generating wrong ipv6 and ipv4 address
sorry i mean dnsupdate, if i use bind9 with samba dlz dnsupdate does not
work, so i have to leave it out.
my problem is that i got 2 interfaces and still it 2 dual stack ip
addresses, the 192.168.78.0/24 is correct.
the 192.168.81.0/24 is giving 192.168.81.120 instead of 192.168.81.20.
i found the whole root since "/" with grep there is no 192.168.81.120 at
all. only in my router there

Ternary plot and filled contour
Dear R-Users, I'd like to have some tips for a ternaryplot ("vcd").
I have this dataframe:
a<- c (0.1, 0.5, 0.5, 0.6, 0.2, 0, 0, 0.004166667, 0.45) b<- c (0.75,0.5,0,0.1,0.2,0.951612903,0.918103448,0.7875,0.45) c<- c (0.15,0,0.5,0.3,0.6,0.048387097,0.081896552,0.208333333,0.1) d<- c (500,2324.90,2551.44,1244.50, 551.22,-644.20,-377.17,-100, 2493.04)

ternary contour plot
Colin,
If your propose is to create a ternary plot with points and vectors, I think easier do this with graphics based plots instead of trellis based plots. Although, with little work you can do with trellis too. I gave you a reproducible code to put an arrow in a ternary plot. I use the function locator() to extract coordinates. The code is the following

Random permission denied and path not found errors
I have upgraded one of the servers to 4.20 from MJT's repository, however
it's not the main one and has way lower traffic load.
I have also removed the entries that you suggested.
Besides this changes I started wondering two other workarounds.
1. Is it possible to add and authenticate a local user when the samba
server is an AD member?
I would add a local user and render machines

c++ code on amd64
Hi
Brief synopsis:
I am having a rather peculiar problem regarding a C++ library. It
seems that functions from this library behave differently when
compiled using R as opposed to being compiled directly from the
command line. The problem is only seen on the amd64 platform (using
gcc 4.0.2) and not on either of Solaris (both 32 bit and 64 bit), Mac
OS and Windows.
A bit more detail:

Samba-AD 100% CPU utilization
Hi,
We have 5 domain controllers in our cluster. We are running samba
version 4.19.5
In one of the servers which is acting as pdc emulator, we have been
observing 100% cpu utilization randomly. This happens on only one server
with PDC emulator role. All Samba servers have same OS RHEL 9 and same
Samba version 4.19.5.
smb.conf on all 5 servers remain same. Giving here smb.conf from one

Rails 1.1 is coming--when and what remains to be done?
A ''Rails 1.1 is coming'' message was posted on Feb 26, 2006 at:
http://www.ruby-forum.com/topic/55991
And Feb 2006 was mentioned in the release announcement for 1.0 back in
Dec 2005.
Is there a new time estimate or list of what remains to be done before
1.1 is released?
Also, will there be any release candidate gems or will people be
encouraged to use edge rails?
Thanks.

stress value remains so high(metaMDS)
metaMDS(cm, distance = "euclidean", k = 2, trymax = 50, autotransform =TRUE,
trace = 1, plot = T)
(cm is a similarity matrix, in which values are positive integers or 0)
I use this command to run NMDS on my matrix "cm". But the stress is very
high after analysis. About 14.
Actually, there is no improvment comparing with using isoMDS.

Image remains too large
Hi,
I've read that Syslinux supports bzImage files now, but when I use
pxelinux (which I hope also supports it) with a bzImage, I get :
COMBOOT image too large
What can I do to fix this ?
Kind greetings,
Wim Godden

[LLVMdev] Forgotten remains in LoopIterator.h
Hi @llvm,
I had to comment out
template<> struct DFSetTraits<LoopBlocksTraversal> {
static void finishPostorder(BasicBlock *BB, LoopBlocksTraversal& LBT)
{
LBT.finishPostorder(BB);
}
};
in LoopIterator.h in order to get the latest llvm compiling. I guess it
is going to be removed anyway.
Best regards
