I guess Dovecot has an LDA called deliver. What is it and how do I use it? Or is it ready to be used. can't find any docs on it. -- Marc Perkel - marc at perkel.com Spam Filter: http://www.junkemailfilter.com My Blog: http://marc.perkel.com

Advanced dovecot tricks - spam review/release
Hi, I'm looking for some advice to do a really advanced trick with Dovecot. I'm not sure if this can be done. I need to describe first. I have a spam filtering company that does front end spam filtering. (Junk Email Filter) I want to add a system where I store a copy of spam on a server and make it available to the customer to review and maybe resent on false positives. I know I

Dovecot Deliver
Not quite sure where the docs are on Dovecot deliver. Went to the wiki and it left me confused. The docs there definitely need some work. Anyone have some examples to share?

Problem: dovecot-lda doesn't auto-create folders
Hello everyone, I recently updated to dovecot 2.0.19 (in fact, I updated the whole system to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, I am using the dovecot from the Ubuntu packages) and just today found out that the dovecot-lda for some reason doesn't auto-create missing folders anymore as it did with my old installation (1.0.10). I have a "system users" layout and send my mails through a

dovecot, procmail and deliver
(Using dovecot 1.0 RC7 on Fedora Core 5) <scene set> Hitherto we have used UW-IMAP on a "farm" of Linux machines mounting NFS from a NetApp. (The UW-IMAP author doesn't like use of NFS, but with careful use of NFS mount arguments ('noac,actimeo=0' etc.) and trying to ensure that all activity for a given user takes place within one machine in the farm, we seem to

deliver and cloning file permissions
Hi! I'd like to use deliver (dovecot-1.2.10) as LDA to deliver mails to my local users on my postfix-system. However, deliver tries to copy the filesystem permissions of the mail-spool-files to the user's index files, which doesn't work, since the files in /var/mail/ belong to the group 'mail'. Sendmail and Dovecot deliver (dovecot-lda)
Hi, I have a Centos 5 system with sendmail running as my MTA. Normally I note from sendmail logs that mails get delivered using the 'local' mailer. I have therefore entered the following into my sendmail.mc file, from an earlier post on this list: define(`LOCAL_MAILER_PATH',`/usr/libexec/dovecot/deliver') define(`LOCAL_MAILER_FLAGS',`DFMPhfnu9')

Dovecot and "deliver" disagree on character encodings
Hi, I have a problem where Dovecot and its LDA seem to disagree on what character encoding should be used in Maildir names. I use Dovecot and Postfix on a Debian server. Mail is delivered by Dovecot LDA (called from .forward) and sorted according to a Sieve script into a number of Maildir folders in my home directory. Dovecot serves the mail over IMAP and I read it in Kmail. I originally

Dovecot deliver logging problem and procmail
Hello! Currently I'm trying to integrate dovecot's deliver program into procmail. So basically I'd write a patch for procmail to deliver not directly into the mbox file but delivering with the dovecot deliver program. Do you think this is a good concept? For testing I use the commands discussed below. Currently I'm having a problem that deliver doesn't recognize the

Feature Request - wild idea - folders for executing programs
Timo, I have a wild idea for a feature that is somewhat unusual, would be very powerful, and easy to implement. What I want is ... Special folders that when someone drags a message into them - it pipes the message into a program. The reason I want this is - for example - reporting of spam. Suppose you want everyone to have a spam-missed folder so that if a spam gets through then the user
