inetd/xinetd/tcpserver support
I was just thinking how they could be easily supported. This would work,
right? :
imap stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/imap-login
imaps stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/imap-login --ssl
imap-login would try to connect to master process using some named
socket. If it couldn't, it would create the master process itself.

How to grant a kerberos ticket after successful imap authentication from dovecot
Hello everybody,
I hope this question is appropriate for this list. Apologies if not.
I am running a set of virtual machines under debian 6, to build a
mail/collaboration server. I am mainly using dovecot, postfix, openldap
and heimdal. Mails are stored using maildir, on a NFSv4 share.
My users are system users, but using LDAP and libpam-ldap and
libnss-ldap for caching credentials

File isn't in mbox format: /home/foo/mail/Trash
Hello,
I'm seeing the following error on a server:
File isn't in mbox format: /home/foo/mail/Trash
The Trash file is full of the following at the beginning:
^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^@^
I've repaired the file several times, but this keeps happening. Would
any of you mind offering me some insight into what could be causing this
and how to fix it?

Horde mailboxes with Virtualmin and CentOS 6
I'm sorry if it is off-topic, maybe not.
I have CentOS 6, webmin/virtualmin panel and I just install Horde 3/imp 4.
In my virtualmin panel I have many email configured, but when I acces
Horde and I try to login with email/password or user/password, Horde
tell me login or password not good.
What I have to do to synchronize Horde and virtualmin mailbox?
Thanks you

Exim-dovecot-Horde/imp-Mysql
Dear all,
I'm running a linuxbox with ' Dovecot<->Exim<->horde/IMP<-> Mysql ', this is a
very good combination and works excellent for the system users.
Now I want to change the configuration and authenticate against the mysql
database from horde. That way it is much easy for me to create (virtual) mail
users. I also want to use the mail alias of the horde users

horde updates and config files
Horde RPMs got updated last night. However, the way configuration
files were handled wasn't probably the best. It moved my
configuration files to rpmsave, instead of leaving them as-is and
putting new configs into rpmnew (like most packages do).

Horde framework from CentOS Extras
Hi!
Anyone of you running the Horde framework applications from CentOS
Extras RPM install? Since yesterday's security update I can no longer
safe the application's configuration from withing the browser
administration. For each required setting with a dropdown menu the
dialog claims that I missed to make a selection, while of course I did.
Just to note: yes, the filesystem permissions for

Plugin virtual, Horde BAD IMAP QRESYNC not enabled
Hi!
I'm thinking around an try to debug the problem a lot. And i think it's
a problem of horde AND dovecot.
Horde handles the reconnect wrong (not reenabling QRESYNC), but why is
this disconnect?
So i found out, it must be the thing with
imap(jakob): Panic: file index-mail-binary.c: line 586
(index_mail_get_binary_stream): assertion failed: (mail->data.stream != NULL

does anyone else use Horde/IMP that can share their servers.php setup? I
am getting weird behavior with IMP not showing my INBOX and sub folders,
etc. and i am not sure if its an IMP issue or Dovecot. It was giving me
problems yesterday, then it cleared up, but now its acting up again.
mail clients like Thunderbird work fine tho. I am seeing this in the
logs a lot:
