Error while creating new reverse DNS zones.
Just for additionnal information, i ran during night? samba-tool domain
tombstones expunge --tombstone-lifetime=0,
many objects were cleaned, but nothing has change, reverse zone creation
still fails.

Error while creating new reverse DNS zones.
Hello,
I'm facing a big problem with my Samba AD configuration :
When trying to create a new reverse DNS zone on a DC, it fails with error :
root at se4ad2:~# samba-tool dns zonecreate se4ad2 54.19.172.in-addr.arpa

Did you try using windows RSAT tools ?

I tried using Sernet's Samba 4.2.2 and failed:
All the following command were ran on DC20

ERROR:connection refused after provision
Hello, I'm installing Samba4 AD from repo Ubuntu16.04. These are the steps I've applied:
1. editing fstab in EXT3
2. install dependencies ( acl attr quota fam libnet-ldap-perl )
3. install krb5-user, bind9, ntp, winbind, ldbtools and samba.
4. remove smb.conf, if exists
5. samba-tool provision
6. Restart services bind9, ntp and samba
7. config Bind9

reverse dns confused
I have built a second dtdc03 and joined to my first dtdc01. Thought all
was well but, discovered that reverse dns is not correct on second
dtdc03.
root at dtdc03:~# host dtdc03
dtdc03.dtshrm.dt has address 192.168.16.49
root at dtdc03:~# host 192.168.16.49
Host 49.16.168.192.in-addr.arpa. not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
root at dtdc03:~# nslookup dtdc03

bogus record in _msdcs zone in samba-dc
Hello,
I've just discovered a bogus record in _msdcs zone which exists on samba-dc
(vm-dc4, 4.12.2) only and missing on a PDC (vm-dc1, Windows Server 2008 R2):
# samba-tool dns query localhost _msdcs.domain.com @ ALL -U administrator 2>/dev/null

NoMethodError (undefined method `match' for nil:NilClass):
Hi,
I have a redmine server with Ruby 1.8 running along with Webrick. When I
try to access any docs on the server using web interface I get the
following message.
Internal error
An error occurred on the page you are trying to access.

Additional Zones with Samba4 DNS
Hi,
we plan to migrate to Samba4 from Samba3 and also from Bind9 to Samba4 DNS. One question is open, everything else works really great.
We need multiple domains for virtual hosts in our development enviroment.
Example: samba.local as samba domain, additional anotherdomain.local for hosting. How can we add those zones in Samba via command line tools.

# samba-tool group addmembers 'Domain Admins' my-username-here
Added members to group Domain Admins
