Dear Sirs, I need to know how can I automatically move all emails that are considered as SPAM to a specific directory called SPAM. The server has installed Dovecot + Qmail + Vpopmail + Simscan + Spamassassin + ClamAV. dovecot -n # 1.1.16: /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 2.6.9-67.0.15.plus.c4smp i686 CentOS release 4.6 (Final) log_path: /var/log/dovecot.log listen: *:10143 ssl_listen:

Public Folders for spam/nospam -> don't get it
hi, Dovecot: 2.0.5 I want to use public folders (maildir), for my spam mails to feed spamassassin, but I don't get it working. My Evolution 2.28.3 (nothing else tested) can't subscribe the folders: namespace { hidden = no inbox = yes list = yes location = prefix = INBOX/ separator = / subscriptions = yes type = private } namespace { hidden = no inbox = no list =

subscription, dots and subscribe to shared folder.
Hello; We were able to set up shared folders in a cluster (using dovecot as proxy on dedicated front-end servers, without using director) by following https://doc.dovecot.org/configuration_manual/shared_mailboxes/cluster_setup/. Here is our related conf on imap farms (dovecot v2.3.16 on Almalinux): namespaces: mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir namespace default { ? inbox = yes ? location

dovecot.index.pvt view is inconsistent: error messages for public mailbox folder
Hi list, running Dovecot 2.2.27 on Ubuntu 14.04. A public mailbox "Public/Spam-Learning" in a public namespace with per-user "Seen" flags is configured like this: namespace pub { hidden = no inbox = no list = children location = maildir:/var/vmail/public:INDEXPVT=~/Maildir/public prefix = Public/ separator = / subscriptions = no type = public mailbox

Automatic Folder Expiry (plugin?)
Greetings, I'm migrating an existing Courier IMAP installation to Dovecot (1.0rc19 right now) on a new server; there's one feature I'm not sure if Dovecot supports - but it might and I'm missing it, so I'll ask. In Courier there's an option to expire a folder after a given time period; ostensibly it's to keep a Trash folder clean, but we use it to keep the Junk

Automatic Client Retrieval of Messages
Are there any mail clients that automatically pull in folder contents even though they don't have a subscription to that folder ? I have defined a namespace with subscriptions=yes, hidden=yes and list=yes. There are no subscriptions files for any of the users yet they are still pulling data from the folders in that namespace. What gives ?

Invoking the spam checker on the sieve script
Hi. TL/DR version: Is it advisable to invoke an spam checker from the sieve script, and then, once the message is filtered, decide if should be moved to a certain spam folder? A bit more context on why I'm considering this: I'm just a geek who wants to handle his own mail, but not a great experience as a system administrator. I don't have any corporate setup, just a simple VPS

Dovecot says the message was stored into a Spam mailbox but it's not there
Hi, I have a problem with storing messages into a Spam folder by dovecot. Log says that message was stored into Spam mailbox but when I check there is no message in users's Spam mailbox. cat /var/log/mail.log | grep sieve | grep Spam : *Feb 17 05:09:11 mailserver dovecot: lda(user at domain): sieve: msgid=<b599df639ffa4d20f6e8d2bcff791286 at somedomain.pl>: stored mail into

antispam plugin doesn't recognize spam folder
After a recent upgrade to dovecot 2.2.9 (caused by an ubuntu upgrade to 14.04), the antispam plugin has stopped recognizing my spam folders as spam. I see the plugin initializes properly, but when moving a message, the mailbox_is_spam() function always returns 0. The version of dovecot-antispam that ships with ubuntu is 2.0+20130822-2build1. I also compiled the latest version in the git

lazy expunge folder delete bug
There's a bug in "folder delete" for lazy expunge, type "1 namespace", as descibed on https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Lazyexpunge When trying to delete a mailbox that still has messages in it, but that has no EXPUNGED/<name> counterpart, the process hangs after the imap "DELETE" command, and the following appears in the log file after a 60s timeout: Jun

Spam instead of Junk folder
Traditionally I have used 'Spam' as the folder name for all those emails that get tagged as, well Spam. But it seems that the standard is now 'Junk' as from 15-mailboxes.conf # Space separated list of IMAP SPECIAL-USE attributes as specified by # RFC 6154: \All \Archive \Drafts \Flagged \Junk \Sent \Trash #special_use = If I have in local.conf #

Message moved to Spam folder mysteriously
Do you have SIeve(pigeonhole) with rules? Or an Anti-Spam proxy in front of Dovecot?
