WARN connection/source_startup Mountpoint /radio in use
Hi!
I finally found the trigger of the issue but still have no clue how to fix it.
I removed the SSL line here:
<listen-socket>
<port>8000</port>
<ssl>1</ssl>
</listen-socket>
And I removed this path:
<ssl-certificate>/etc/icecast2/cert/stream.pem</ssl-certificate>
Without SSL, the Mountpoints vanish after stopping the stream as they

Fallback stream not preventing a disconnect
Dear all,
I"m using a combination of mopidy, icecast2 and Home-Assistant on a
raspberry pi to stream Google music to a Chromecast Audio.
The streaming works and I can listen to music. If a new song is being
started, I keep connected. However, upon changing the song or pausing the
stream, the chromecast gets disconnected. I assumed that this should be
resolved by adding a fallback stream,

Icecast SSL endpoint timeout issue
Hi team,
Please accent my apologies if this is NOT the place/distro list to be
raising this. I had major dramas with the standard forum - registration and
decided this may be a better route.
My current instance icecast server has been built with --with-curl
--with-openssl options as outlined within this post:

mountpoint fallback support
I just was looking at the CVS nightly build of the icecast2\src\source.c and see that the mountpoint fallback is now implemented (compared to the 2.0.0 release's source.c)
I was hoping to use this feature to support a multi-home radio station that has a master mountpoint stream and offsite "guest" mountpoints. These guest mountpoints would attach on a scheduled based and,

mountpoint fallback support
After I installed the latest nightly build, it looks like the fallback works without rebuffering. I do see one problem -- when the main mountpoint stream restarts, the fallback continues to play. Once I stop the fallback mountpoint stream, the main mountpoint stream restarts, but only after client rebuffering
Also, during the mountpoint switchovers, sometimes the meta-data is lost in the

Problem with the use of domfsfreeze mountpoint option
Hi everybody,
I am having a problem with the use of domfsfreeze command.
It is freezing all the filesystems present on the domain,
instead of freezing just the mountpoints provided.
I am issuing the command--
# virsh domfsfreeze <domain> --mountpoint <mountpoint>
Output was-- Froze 3 filesystem(s)
I want to freeze a particular mount point on the VM, so that i can

Different password for every mountpoint
Hi guys ,
I have a little doubt:
It's possible with the last version of icecast2 to set a diffferent
password for every mountpoint different from the server's password?
Becasue I want to manage the access to the server for every mountpoint
and without give the server's password.
Another question it's if I do some changes on the icecast.xml
configuration , and later restart

Icecast winamp oddcast mountpoint problem?
Hi there!
I'm new to the list and I'm experiencing somekind of problem. I have installed icecast 1.3.12 as a OpenBSD 3.2 port. I use winamp (on win2000) for encoding with muchFX and 4 oddcast DSP plugins for different streams. Streams are mounted in /low /medium /high /vh mount points. From icecast logfiles it seems that everything is working ok. When I try to connect with a client

mountpoint
can anybody explain to me the mountpoint that is mentioned by icecast
version 1.3.12?
I see that the mountpoint is /default
what does this mean and how can I change it in the icecast.conf file.
I am running this on a freebsd 4.7 STABLE release.

Why a copy of smbd for each smbmount mountpoint?
When an OS/2 or Win9x client logs into a (Linux) Samba v2.0.6 server
the running smbd spawns a copy of itself. That second instance of
smbd then handles all the shares for that client machine.
In contrast, a Linux client which does multiple smbmounts (also Samba
v2.0.6) will cause the server to spawn a copy of smbd for *each*
smbmount mountpoint. This has the potential for using up a lot more

Blocking IP addresses on a per mountpoint level
Thanks.
Indeed - but is it it possible to block IP addresses on a per mountpoint
level? For example, my user with /mountpointA.ogg does not mind being
hammered by connections from 93.184.216.34 [example.com] but my user with
/mountpointB.ogg wants to block that IP address.
Using iptables I've blocked connections, at a server level, from example.com
for my User B but my User A doesn't

dovecot 2.1.8 still tries to touch any mountpoint
why does dovecot touch any ever used fuse-mountpoint
and scream at the next start that is no longer mounted?
"If this is intentional, remove it with doveadm mount"
why if i never called "doveadm" on any setup at all?

on-demand source as default mountpoint
Hi icecasters,
Is there a way to attach a static file to a source client without using the
/file subdirectory? What I'm trying to do is have a static file broadcasted
on-demand via http://fooblah:8000/, but I can't uses ices (I think) since that
just throws the file to the server without any sense of timing. If I use ices,
listeners could tune in during the middle of the static file,

separation of web interface and mountpoint
It looks like default behavior is for Icecast to expose its web
interface on the same address and port as any mountpoint. E.g.:
mountpoint = https://server.com/listentome
web app = https://server.com/
I'd like to restrict the web interface to ONLY A CERTAIN IP ADDRESS AND
TCP PORT so that it is not accessible on the public IP. E.g.:
mountpoint = https://server.com/listentome
