KMail?
Hey everyone - is anyone else having problems with Dovecot and KMail? I'm having trouble seeing my INBOX using KMail (Maildir format on the server), though all subfolders show up as normal. I suspect the problem is with KMail as all the other mail clients I've tested seem to have no such problems, they see INBOX *and* subfolders just fine, just wanted to see if anyone could confirm this

Eliminate legacy INBOX namespace - how?
Hi all, Our mailstore was converted from a Courier-IMAP system last year, but I am planning a migration to a shiny new VM, and would really like to clean things up and do away with the legacy INBOX namespace. My goal is to simplify IMAP client setup - no special 'INBOX' namespace needed, they just enter the server info and credentials. Also important because I will be rolling out

subfolders in public mailboxes
Hello, I added this to the configuration: namespace { type = public separator = . prefix = public. location = maildir:/var/mail/public subscriptions = no list = yes } and I can list maildirs inside these folders correctly. however, I can't see any subfolders. The issue seems to be that /var/mail/public dir itself is interpreted as a maildir directory. However, what I'd

dovecot newbie question about "invalid key" problem
Hello list, I've trying to migrate a small uw-imap server to dovecot. It works somewhat, and speed seems greatly improved, so thats great. However, I get an "invalid key/Internal Error" problem when connectiong to my INBOX with thunderbird. According to google this is a well known problem with mozilla mailers. Dovecot is not lenient with this bug in thunderbird. Is there some

VT-x and frontend/backend drivers
Hello, As I saw in this mailing list, there should be some emulation solution for drivers when using VT-x processors. See for example : http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2005-12/msg00763.html My question is this; As I understand, the VMX support in the new VT-x processors enables us to prevent Guest OSs from performing unwanted instructions (HLT , for example). How to make a network interface come up automatically on link up?
I have a recently installed Mellanox VPI interface in my server. This is an InfiniBand interface, which, through the use of adapters, can also do 10GbE over fiber. I have one of the adapter's two ports configured for 10GbE in this way, with a point to point link to a Mac workstation with a Myricom 10GbE card. I've configured this interface on the Linux box (eth2) using

Public folders, individual SEEN flags
Hi list I'm trying to set up shared public folders with individual SEEN flags. I've set up three test users, but as soon as one of them marks a mail in the public folder as seen or unseen, that change is propagated to all three users. If I watch the dovecot.index.log file in each user's directory for the public folder, I see all three change their last access time as soon as one user

fsck.ext4 Failed to optimize directory
I had a rather large ext4 partition on an Areca RAID shut down uncleanly while it was writing. When I mount it again, it recommends fsck, which I do, and I get the following error: Failed to optimize directory ... EXT2 directory corrupted This error shows up every time I run fsck.ext4 on this partition. How can I fix this? The file system seems to work ok otherwise, I can mount it and it
