What this command does is delete the record itself, then tries to delete
related DNS records.
I think what is happening is the initial delete is working, but DNS is
not, and samba-tool is left waiting for a response.

Problems with deleting a reference in 389DS
Hi, I'm having problems deleting something from 389DS. At one point I had a
link to use an external LDAP server for authentication for a particular
client. I now need to delete this but I am having trouble.
Firstly I can't find this object in either the directory manager or
ldapadmin.
I can see the object using db2ldif:
# entry-id: 1838
dn: cn=bloggsco,dc=mycompany,dc=com

sambaldap tools
Hi samba admins,
I don?t know is this the right place for my question,
but I can?t find a list for my problem.
I have some trobble to configure the smbldap-tools.
I have download and copy the scripts to /usr/local/sbin.
But a /usr/local/sbin/smbldap-useradd.pl testuser breaks
with this error message:
get_user_dn2: error in ldapsearch :
/usr/bin/ldapsearch -x -h _SLAVELDAP_ -D '_BINDDN_'

samba-tool computer delete does not work
hi,
i deleted the accounts with pdbdel.
I did a few spot checks, none of the pc accounts had the attribute dNSHostName
there are no dns-rcords concerning the account
we use bind9 for dns.
all pc have a bind9 configured as dns server, which is a dns slave of the bind9 on the samba server.
here the requested informations:
all DC are on samba
smb.conf

netbios name = DCX

Ldapscripts v1.0 !
Hi all,
I've been working on shell scripts that allow to manage ldap accounts (users,
groups, machines). They are similar to the smbldap-tools but do not need PERL to
work (and so on...) and are *very* simple to configure - they may be a good
alternative. The only tools you need are standard ldap client commands (ldapadd,
ldapdelete, ldapmodify, ldapsearch).
The scripts can be used as

So "domain" and not "search"? I had "search" set due to the result of
some discussion on the list.

multiple barplot
Dear all,
I want to put 9 barplots side by side. My code below only print 5 names from
9 names I gave.
Problem: how to print all of those 9 names? I use cex=0.8 but did not work,
it gave me error message.
d<-matrix(rpois(45,3),5,9)
barplot(d,beside=T,col=rainbow(5),names=c("CRTL","LSB","ONEMKR",

azure ad connect timeout
The AD connect sync to office365 also works with 4.10.18
i can not test with 4.11.x because on this version there is another bug
requarding adding DNS records.
so:
4.10.x -> the sync works
4.11.x -> i can not test
4.12.6 -> the sync fails with Errorcode: 0x55

samba management tools
dear list
On the samba.org pages there is an overview of Samba GUI's. I've
recently (via a post on this mailinglist) discovered
http://ldapadmin.sourceforge.net/
It looks very good. Anyone using it here? Experiences?
A specific reason why it it not listed on the Samba GUI page?
