1.0.rc32 released
http://dovecot.org/releases/dovecot-1.0.rc32.tar.gz http://dovecot.org/releases/dovecot-1.0.rc32.tar.gz.sig Pretty late for changes if v1.0 is supposed to come out tomorrow, but I can't really leave these LDAP bugs unfixed. They shouldn't anyway break anything, so here's one more day for you people to find out about any bugs. One thing that I'm a bit concerned about is the

dovecot.index.cache weirdness
Hi Timo, Just a quick check, may I know if the following output of idxview is normal? (see bottom of e-mail) I am running dovecot-1.0.3 on a Solaris 10 SPARC box. Deleting dovecot.index.cache does not seem to help for this user; it keeps getting regenerated with these same lines. I seems that I have to set mmap_disable=yes on this box to have a "clean-looking" dovecot.index.cache.

Binary locations
Where do you think the following binaries should be installed to? The possible locations are: - bin/ - sbin/ - libexec/dovecot/ (or lib/dovecot/ in most Linux distros) So the binaries are: 1) These probably belong to bin/ or sbin/ or both: - authtest - dovecotpw - doveadm 2) Binaries that you might want to call from mail_executable setting: - rawlog - gdbhelper 3) Index file dumping

Strange issue with pam_smbpass
Hello all!! Something strange is happening recently with pam_smbpass.so. I get the errors: passwd: PAM unable to dlopen(pam_smbpass.so) passwd: PAM [dlerror: pam_smbpass.so: undefined symbol: ldap_value_free] passwd: PAM adding faulty module: pam_smbpass.so And the passwd command returns "Module unknown". The rest of Samba is working fine as a PDC - can log in, out, copy files, etc.

Newbie: unable to access mailbox more than once
Hello, I'm using dovecot as a mail relay so that I can back up my providers IMAP mail locally. I'm impressed how easy this was to set up, but I'm having a quirk that I would like help with, if possible. There are many weak links in my set-up chain, if you will, but I think I've narrowed the problem. I'll describe my set-up anyway. I'm running dovecot 1.1.4 on ubuntu

rsync & ldap authentication
Hi, I'm trying to get rsync 2.5.6 to authenticate users via openldap-2.0.23. I was looking through the mailing list archives and found a patch for rsync-2.4.6 that does this for me. I was just wondering if this is still valid, or if there has been a new patch or new implementation that has superceded this patch. Any help would be great. The message I am referring to is as follows:

Questions about load/store incrementing address modes
Thanks Steve, I will try this out. I hadn’t realised that TableGen was restricted to matching instructions with more than one output operand. I’m assuming that this is only a limitation for inferring an instruction from the patterns, because it does seem to manage schedules okay. Curiously, my memory Reg32+Reg16 pattern is very similar to yours (the 16-bit offset is sign-extended though):

Question about pre-indexing maildirs
I have a situation with many users and an existing mail delivery agent. Seems like I once saw an imaptest program which I imagine might be used to pre-index maildirs. For example... - remember which users and user maildirs have changed since last pre-index - when system quiet pre-index any maildirs which have had mail delivered and no access by a mail client (using some

Questions about load/store incrementing address modes
Thanks again for your help Steve, I’m thinking perhaps my “SelectADDRrr” pattern is inadequate. The sign-extension is at the hardware level, the code generator sees (should see) it as a 16-bit signed register value. My implementation is just: bool SHAVEISelDAGtoDAG::SelectADDRrr(SDValue &Addr, SDValue &Base, SDValue &Offset) { if ((Addr.getOpcode() == ISD::ADD) { Base

Quota crashing w/ gdb backtrace
Hi, I'm still running into consistent crashing when moving files between folders when dirsize quotas are enabled. This is running Dovecot1.0rc19. Please let me know if I'm posting this to the wrong list. Here is the gdb backtrace: #0 0x377fc in mbox_file_seek (mbox=0xc8560, view=0xc94c0, seq=1, deleted_r=0xffbef157) at mbox-file.c:167 167 if (data == NULL) { (gdb) bt

expire-tool and userdb returned mail location
Hello, I'm having problems with expire-tool in Dovecot 1.2.6 not finding the mailboxes. I had mail_location = mbox:/var/spool/dovecotmail/%d/%n/mails:INDEX=/var/spool/dovecotmail/%d/%n/indexes in dovecot.conf, but that doesn't work with expire-tool. So I commented that out from dovecot.conf, all the data is in a database anyway. A userdb lookup returns the following for userid at

Migration to samba4 ad and sync to openldap.
I managed to do migration using "classicupgrade". Doing tests with debian buster 2:4.9.4+dfsg-4. For the moment using samba internal dns and sub-domain of ad.advocap.org. Had issue forwarding dns if I used main domain. When it comes to real production will use bind that I understand better but don't want to mess with my other dns servers now. Had a w10 box join samba4 ad

Dovecot 1.1 rc9 compilation warnings
I've tried compiling 1.1.rc9 on everything to hand and I get various compilation warnings (but the compilation finishes). I don't know whether any of them are worth tracking down? I'm guessing most of the differences depend on the default gcc options and a couple of them are probably specific to our setup. All were configured with ./configure --prefix=/opt/RDGdovect
