Interpreting data from 220V input APC UPS
Thanks, Tim. The unit was available with single as well as split phase
output, and from the data I can find the input was single phase, though
the input connector has L1/L2/N/G wires. I'm digging through the MIB to
see what the raw data looks like.
Thanks!
John

Interpreting data from 220V input APC UPS
Sounds pretty normal from what I see. It appears that this is *NOT* a true 240v UPS, but rather one that provides two legs of 120v output from two legs of 120 input, and what is seen as "L2" is actually neutral, and the line names are reporting incorrectly. With that in mind, each leg in should be 120v, as well as the outputs, which is exactly what you are seeing.(The fact tht L1 to L3

Simple streamer help
Hi --
I am trying to add limited streaming capability to an existing mp3 setup
I'm running for internal use at my house.
I'm using the "mp3sb" package with a php-based web front-end to pipe music
to my stereo; now I want to extend that so I can use the same web interface
to stream to computers in the house. I don't want to run shout or another

"Static files (http support)
There is support in icecast for streaming files directory from the server
to the client. This is usually handled much more nicely by a real http
server, but if you don't want to go through the hassle of setting up apache
or roxen or whatever, then this might be what you're looking for.
All files must end in .mp3, and they must all be in the file

Interpreting data from 220V input APC UPS
Following up on this, I've figured out what's going on. What I'm not
sure of is how best to address the situation. I'd like to avoid going
down to the MIB level because I just don't understand it.
"Split phase" output devices seem to fall into an undefined area.
They're not three phase, but require additional MIB values so APC uses
their 3-phase MIB

Re: Simple streamer help
Following up on myself because I just realized I may be barking up the
wrong tree; if so I apologize for the bandwidth, but would still love it if
someone could point me in the right direction.
After reading through the mailing list archives, I think that icecast may
not be the solution I'm looking for, because I'm hoping to somehow play the
mp3s on demand from the web browser, not

How to lower float charge voltage of an APC Smart UPS - corrected

Centos machine sometimes unreachable
I have a simple perl script that every few hours pings the handful of
machines on my LAN. Lately I've sometimes been getting

ping of 192.168.0.5 FAILED

years and no recent changes to it have been

APC Smart-UPS C1500 connected by usb
Hi,
I have setup NUT in netserver mode on debian wheezy with two APC UPS units
connected to it by usb. lsusb identifies the units as Smart-UPS 1000 and
Smart-UPS C1500. It appears these do not use the smart protocol and
usbhid-ups is the correct driver to use.
System: Debian wheezy with stock version of nut

Everything works rather well, except that the

APC UPS wrong input voltage
Folks,
I've asked this question on the FreeNAS forum but there are no ideas there
as it looks like it's a NUT issue.
Original question:
https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/apc-ups-reporting-wrong-input-voltage.60888/
the nut driver is reporting the wrong input voltage. I am in the UK, 230V
but it's reporting circa 108.
If I connect it to the laptop and run powerchute it

Old APC SmartUPS 1250, Nut 2.2.2 Fedora 9
Hi All,
I've got two APC SmartUPS's that behave differently with nut, I have a
SmartUPS1400 & a SmartUPS1250.
I'm fairly sure this isn't a nut problem but more likely a problem with
the age of the SmartUPS1250 and the apcsmart driver not being able to
identify it. Under the APC Powerchute software the same monitoring &
command parameters are available for both

Access to internal UPS logs?
Do any known UPS's keep internal logs of events? I am currently using a
slightly modified version if usbhid-ups to talk to a HP T/R2200 G2,
which is internally a TrippLite UPS.
The UPS is randomly turning off its output power, at intervals of once
every week or two, even though during this failure it reports that input
and output voltages are still around 248V (240V is nominal). The only

confusion on levels() function, and how to assign a wanted order to factor levels, intentionally?
Dear R-helpers,
I want to make a series of boxplots on several numeric univariates with two
group variables (species and population, population nested in species, and
with population as the X-axis). In order to get a proper order of the
individual populations in X-axis, I need to assign a wanted order to the
factor (population). I used the levels() function to do this assignment, but

APC Smartups protocol - Hidden Programming Mode
Hej!
Hope nut-upsuser is an appropriate place to post additional info about
the smartups protocol, please tell me if not.
I got an APC Smartups 2200 (5U Rack Mount, European/230V version, 48V
batteries) a couple of days ago, was very happy to find the protocol
description at http://www.networkupstools.org/protocols/apcsmart.html,
