RJS-Template and link_to_remote
Hi, I am quite new to rails and can''t use any rjs-templates.
The problem is, that he can''t use/find the methods in that template
e.g. ''page'' or ''replace_html''. I get an error message on these
methods.
Here''s what I got so far in my example:
Controller:

RJS not working?
I''ve been attempting to add a simple rjs ''delete'' method to my
project. However, no matter what I try, it simply doesn''t work. Even
the easy, easy stuff seems broken. (Yes, <%=
javascript_include_tag :defaults %> is being included in the template.)
For example, from:

should be a simple effect, but have not had any luck yet and apparently
I am not following the general idea...
What I am trying to accomplish is the following (part 1 works and part 2
does not):
1. One of my views has a link_to_remote which updates a div container
with a table of data

RJS Templates not conducting callbacks
I''ve run across a weird problem with RJS that I''m trying to figure out:
I have an application that was running 0.13.1 that I recently upgraded
to Rails 1.0. I wanted to use RJS templates, so I installed the plugin
and updated my prototype javascript file via ''rake update_prototype.''
I attempted to test the templates out via the following code, but the

Unable to page.replace_html from rjs
I am having problems updating a div defined in a partial using both
Element.update and page.replace_html in an rjs. I can put a
link_to_remote in the partial using an :update, and the div updates
fine. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?
In the partial:
<div><div>

will_paginate destroys link_to_remote?!
Hello,
I''ve got a list in a view and each of element of it has a link_to_remote
and everything worked like a charm. Now I added AJAX pagination and the
link_to_remote doesn''t work anymore.
This is the partial of the list:

<%= character.name %>
<%= link_to_remote t(''.add''), :url =>

Lightbox popup on ajax pages....

Calls to the lightbox popups from this main page work perfectly...
But....calls to the lightbox popups from pages which are called by
ajax(using link_to_remote) from the main page do not work... :(
They work like

Rendering a partial from within that partial
I am having trouble rendering a partial called ''names'' through a submit
tag located within that partial. The form data is saving with my current
code. However, the existing data is not loading into the form and the
partial is not being re-rendered upon submission to reveal the changes
to this data. What might I do to fix this?

rjs woes, any hints?
I''ve pared my rjs experiment down to what seems a bare minimum. When I click
on my link_to_remote, the rjs executes, returns the correct javascript to
the browser, but it doesn''t update the div I''ve specified. What appears to
be coming back from the controller is:
Element.update("my_form", "hello, rjs");
I''m tearing my hair out.
