Driver with calls to USB functions not linking
Do your drivers/Makefile.am rules for the resulting new program specify dependencies to use similar to other USB-capable drivers? e.g. ```` blazer_usb_SOURCES = blazer.c blazer_usb.c $(LIBUSB_IMPL) usb-common.c blazer_usb_LDADD = $(LDADD_DRIVERS) $(LIBUSB_LIBS) -lm ```` Jim On Sat, Nov 2, 2024 at 2:30?AM William R. usb_device_id_t structure
Arnaud, I have a question regarding the below structure you've added: > typedef struct usb_device_id_t { > int vendorID; > int productID; > void*(*fun)(); /* handler for specific processing */ > } usb_device_id; I don't understand the last element in this structure. While there can be plenty of reasons for functions returning (void *), I can't figure out what

compiling 0.62.3 for SunOS 4.1.4 and Solaris 2.6
Just a quick report on compiling R 0.62.3 for SunOS 4.1.4 and Solaris 2.6 (both with gcc 2.7.2.something), in hopes that it'll be useful to someone. 4.1.4 - I followed Charles Berry's forward of Ross Ihaka's suggestion about putting fake #defines for gamma and lgamma in src/include/Mathlib.h (this works best on the second pass, after the graphics library (which also contains

Simple scan in CentOS 7
I just installed C7 on a new computer and despite Simple Scan being installed as part of C7, I have not been able to get it to recognize my Canon scanner connected to a USB port. I did have it running on another computer with C7 so there should not be any inherent issues. On a lark I installed gscan2pdf and sane-backends-drivers-scanners and sane-find-scanner found it: found USB scanner

[Announcement] Tinc version 1.0.27 released
With pleasure we announce the release of tinc version 1.0.27. Here is a summary of the changes: * When using Proxy, let the proxy resolve hostnames if tinc can't. * Fixes and improvements of the DecrementTTL option. * Fixed the $NAME variable in subnet-up/down scripts for the local Subnets. * Fixed potentially wrong checksum generation when clamping the MSS. * Properly choose between

Mustek Powermust 600VA
Hi, I'm having a hard time configuring a Mustek Powermust 600VA ups to work via USB with nut. I read somewhere that nut works OK via the rs232 cable, but unfortunately I don't have a COM port in my computer. The kernel detects the ups as an Xbox pad :) and loads the xpad module. I tried running /lib/nut/megatec with different /dev/ttySx but it displays megatec protocol UPS was not

Compiling Icecast2 on RedHat9 or maybe another Linux
Hi Dave, I am now trying to compile Icecast2 under RedHat9. I get some errors when I try to ./configure so the make file is not created. Can you take a look at the attached file and tell me what is wrong? I tried to compile it on another RedHat9 computer but I got the same results... I think I will dedicate one computer ONLY to icecast2. In this case, could you advise me the best Linux

[LLVMdev] glod plugin use
Hi, I was trying to use gold plugin to compile and run some of my passes on some large softwares like mysql, apache etc. When I compile using llvm-gcc, everything works fine. But, when I followed the instructions on http://llvm.org/docs/GoldPlugin.html#build to use gold plugin, I got errors like: /home/vadve/ssahoo2/local/bin/ld: error: modules/standard/libstandard.a: no archive symbol table

Creating a new NUT USB HID subdriver
Thanks to the great help here, I now have a UPS spitting out something resembling a report descriptor. So since I seem destined to have to create a new USB HID subdriver, I figured I'd get started on the path. I followed all of the directions on the web....I used the script to generate the usbhid subdriver, feeding it the output of the usbhid-ups driver from reading my UPS. All that worked
