Postfix delivers mails to maildir and not to dovecot LDA for a virtual user
Hi I have been able to setup postfix and dovecot using postgres as the backend store with virtual user maps on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server. I have been following instructions from here: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/DovecotPostgresql I haven't setup postfix to use saslauthd and PAM, instead I am using dovecot for SASL authentication. Rest of the table structures and query files are the same as

Can't Get SASL to Work
This looks more of a postfix than dovecot issue, the error is really odd though. Aki On 24.9.2019 22.51, Christopher Wooley via dovecot wrote: > I have been fighting with this for almost 2 days. I have been fighting with this for almost 2 days. I can't seem to get the SMTP server to authenticate through SASL. I have turned so many things off and on, I don't remember what I've done, anymore. Can someone look at these and tell me what I'm missing. I get this in the log, anytime postfix tries to authenticate. Sep 24 19:48:14 ubuntu postfix/smtpd[14464]: warning: SASL:

Sorry for all the notes; I'm trying to have postfix 3.4.8, trying to authenticate postfix against Dovecot 2.3.4.1 passwd-file, using lmtp. Hi I am a rsync (on Mac OS X, RsyncX version with extended HFS+/-eahfs forks) beginner (I merely use it for backing up my desktop machine to a bootable external firewire volume, so that I can resume work in case of a harddrive disaster) and I got these messages: mknod "/Volumes/backup/Applications/Plone2/Sites/Default/var/zopectlsock" failed: Invalid argument mknod

Trying to get DSpam+Dovecot working with Postfix and local/virtual domains
Hi, I'm hoping that someone might be able to help, as I've been going in circles with trying to get the right configuration done here. I'm also not sure whether this is more of a Dovecot or DSpam question, so I'm posting the same to both mailing lists. My goal is to have a mail setup that is as follows: [Incoming email] --> [Postfix] --> [Amavis] --> [DSpam] -->

I am using virtual mailboxes. Now I wanted to introduce quotas, but I can't manage to make them work. Quota information is retreived from MySQL in userdb requests. I have noticed that the maildirsize file is not

Mail has quit working
Your IP address is flagged as spam in Real Time Block Lists. Are you using a dynamic IP address? You may have a mis-configured server that is allowing spammers to relay through your server. Another possibility is your system is compromised with a spambot. Mike On 07/24/2018 07:31 AM, TE Dukes wrote: > OK, not sure what happened, my response was rejected by Centos: > > Reason: There was

Client can't connect to SMTP
I've just installed Dovecot and Postfix and my email client (Mac Mail) cannot authenticate with the SMTP server. The error I receive says that "The SMTP server doesn't support SSL (TLS) on port 465" -- yet, I've installed SSL. Is there any good way to test or debug this? Setup: * SSL * Dovecot SASL * Dovecot LDA * Virtual Users
