dovecot won't compile for GnuTLS
Hi! I'm currently investigating a switch from courier-imap to dovecot since a number of our users experience problems with Outlook in combination with SSL. I can compile dovecot with openssl support and it runs "fine" except that the Outlook issues are still there. I read that dovecot works best with GnuTLS and thought that I'd try to compile for that instead. The system is

Compile gnutls yo install samba-4.12.3
Hello all; Has anyone installed samba4 from sources (samba-4.12.3.tar.gz) on CentOS 7? I explain the problem: to install samba-4.12.3 you need to install a version equal to or greater than 3.4.7 of gnutls; this (gnutls) depends on nettle and gmp. I am trying to install gnutls-3.6.14; I already have gmp (gmp-6.2.0) and nettle (nettle-3.6) installed (compiled from sources), but gnutls

gnutls bug
I am running centos6.4. Where do I find the updated gnutls packages? I see the updated source file here: http://vault.centos.org/6.5/updates/Source/SPackages/ But I don't see the correct version of the packages in the 6.4 tree here: http://vault.centos.org/6.4/updates/x86_64/Packages/ Where should I be looking for the updated package for 6.4? Thanks. -- -MichaelC

Vulnerability in gnuTLS
Hello, There is a vulnerability described in the gnuTLS library which is used in libvirt: https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2014-3466 We are using libvirt 0.8.7 on Windows so my question is: Is there already a windows version with a newer gnuTLS library which has a fix for the mentioned vulnerability? --- Sent from my Fujitsu Lifebook E782 With best regards Alfred Boehme

Issue compiling Samba 4.11.6 with GNUTLS 3.6.12 (Not standard location)
Hello, I try to compile Samba 4.11.6 on an old SLES11 machine. There is an old GNUTLS installed. Since I do not have root access and I have to use a newer GNUTLS-Version, I have installed gnutls-3.6.12 in a different location and set PKG_CONFIG_PATH appropriately. The configure script has run successfully, but when I run make (with verbose option), I get this error: 17:44:33 runner

[libnbd PATCH] tls: Check for pending bytes in gnutls buffers
Checking for poll(POLLIN) only wakes us up when the server sends more bytes over the wire. But the way gnutls is implemented, it reads as many non-blocking bytes as possible from the wire before then parsing where the encoded message boundaries lie within those bytes. As a result, we may already have the server's next reply in memory without needing to block on the server sending yet more
