form problem
Hi, I am using CentOS 3.5 plus the Plesk reloaded 7.3 server admin and just recently did a small upgrade of some plesk packages plus the update from CentOS 3.4 to 3.5. It seems that all of my forms have stopped working using nms FormMail.pl script. Everything was working before these last two updates. I have debug set on the form script and it does work without any errors but I never get the

acl and lazy_expunge plugins are incompatible?
Hello list. Following two previous unanswered requests (http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2014-August/097449.html and http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2014-May/096261.html), I fell into the same problem: ACL and lazy_expunge plugins do not work together. I had lazy_expunge enabled working OK. Then I activated ACL plugin, and gave dovecot.2 visibily over paolo.cravero's Inbox: the IMAP

Fortunately, it just involves reformatting the data and a little reconmfiguration of dovcot. If you can find the tool and disk space, it's well worth doing. Of course, when running a proverbial

simple formmail question
I have a few forms that I''d like users to fill out. The results of the form will be sent to a few addresses. What''s the least painless way to do this and keep everything DRY? There''s no database involved. Ideally, I''d like to email the form questions with the answers inline. Seems like using ActionMailer and separate email views would be overkill in this

User authentication to AD200X, need local users?
I am trying to get user authentication in a 200X AD to have domain users see the samba shares (RH ES3, samba 3.0.9-1). I can see the shares, but when I try to access any of the shares, I get prompted for a username and password and this is what shows up in the log.winbindd file ------------------- [2004/12/29 08:17:37, 1] nsswitch/winbindd_user.c:winbindd_getpwnam(161) user 'robl' does

Attached is a patch to make sshd work on OSX when using plain ol' Kerberos authentication as opposed to opendirectory authentication. Relaying of spam
Hi, sorry if this isn't the right place to post, but I'm having some trouble figuring out a spamming issue. If anyone here can help, that'd be amazing. I'm running Brian's CentOS/BlueQuartz CD, version 3.5 from Nuonce.net. Everything seemed to be running fine for several days until this morning, when I received a zillion "returned mail" notices from the mailer

LMTP doesn't save to +mailbox
Since switching to lmtp in dovecot, mail to user+mailboix at example.com does not get saved in ?.mailbox? as it did with LDA, instead it gets saved into the INBOX. If it matters, these are users who do NOT have a ~/.active_sieve file. I could understand (though it would bene a bit annoying) if the save overrode this mechanism. I did add lmtp_save_to_detail_mailbox = yes in the protocol lmtp

dovecot mailbox to csv
We (the Math department at the U of Wisconsin) recently switched over from another server to dovecot One thing that a lot of people here do is set up an on-line form that sends them email. They use formmail for this. I have them edit their procmail config so that all the messages go into a particular mail folder.... So far so good. With our old system, all messages in a folder were kept in a

POP daemon
What would be a good POP daemon to use? I know there are a few in the mail ports. Are they any good? What I mean by good is 'secure as possible' (is there really such thing as being totally secure / invulnerable?) Cheers

Mailbox isn't a valid mbox file (dovecot 1.0-0.beta8.2.fc5)
Hello, I have upgraded my dovecot-0.99.13-3.FC3 to dovecot-1.0-0.beta8.2.fc5 recently and now am having weird problem. If somebody's mailbox has the first line in a form of From "User Name" <user at host.domain.edu> Thu Oct 7 14:20:00 1999 instead of From user at host.domain.edu Thu Oct 7 14:20:00 1999 then that mailbox couldn't be precessed by dovecot. Hi, When I try to open the attached mbox file I get the following warning in Thunderbird 1.5.0.10: 'The current command failed. The e-mail server responded: Mailbox isn't a valid mbox file'. I also tried this with squirrelmail, with the same result. The Dovecot version is dovecot-1.0.rc28, compiled from source. The attached mbox was correctly read from, and written to in earlier

Mailbox isn't a valid mbox file
Getting "Mailbox isn't a valid mbox file" on 1.2rc2 after transferring mail from an ancient 0.99.13 system. The first line of the file looks ok. Curiously, it's one of my archival folders of this list. Here's the first header from the top of the file: >From tss at iki.fi Sat May 1 21:48:17 2004 From: tss at iki.fi (Timo Sirainen) Date: Sat May 1 21:54:18 2004
