Printing not working after upgrading to 3.0.4
I had been running Samba to share my HP printer among my Windows XP clients. When I upgraded to 3.0.4, I can no longer print. When I start the print job in Windows XP, the printer lights blinks for a few seconds, and then stops. No pages come out. The print job is shown as complete in the CUPS web intrface. Printing from the Linux box works just fine. I read the Samba pages concerning

dovecot-LDA and fromwho-argument
Hello, I?m using dspam 3.6.3 in combination with Dovecot, procmail and Sendmail. Everything works fine but I want to replace procmail by dovecot-LDA. A few changes to dspam.conf results in a takeover by dovecot-LDA. Unfortunately this is where it goes awry; besides the ?d argument (user), dspam also supplies the ?f argument (fromwhom). The use of the ?f argument results in an error because

If dspam fails, the mail is dumped, the LDA returns exit code 75, and the MTA will probably issue a bounce Email to the sender.

LDA input validation
Hi, I'm using qmail + dspam + dovecot-lda. A typical .qmail file : | /usr/bin/dspam --client --deliver=stdout --user "$EXT@$USER" | /usr/bin/preline -f /usr/lib/dovecot/dovecot-lda -d "$EXT@$USER" -a "$EXT@$USER" -m "$EXT2" When dspam segfault or is killed, preline receive an empty content and only pass to dovecot-lda two headers ( Return-Path and

dspam + dovecot LDA
Hello, Is there any possibility to make dspam transport validated emails directly to dovecot LDA? for now I use such schema: postfix > dspam > postfix > dovecot LDA but wanted to not return emails to postfix. I've found that such configuration is possible with dspam+ cyrus IMAP. Documentation of dovecot is great but I haven't found such solution. Thanks in advance for any

antispam_plugin prevents IMAP login (error 3) [Dovecot 2.0.19]
Hi everybody, trying to get the Dovecot antispam_plugin to work and I must be doing something wrong, because as soon as it is enabled with a certain backend, imap logins do not work anymore (the session is immediately closed after a successful login). Interestingly, pipe and spool2dir are working (that is, the session won't be closed), dspam-exec and crm114-exec are not. If this happens,

lda deliver + vpopmail
Hi all, I'm enjoying using dovecot deliver with qmail+vpopmail+dspam. It works mostly fine, I like the indexing and sieve features with dovecot deliver. I would like to get more details on trouble, the log entry is just : " 2009-11-18_20:38:55.64778 delivery 50833: deferral: " As you see, there no reason for the deferral. How can I make deliver more verbose ? I also have a

LDA Plugin Maybe?
I was just looking into setting up DSPAM, with the Dovecot LDA. Essentially, what I was probably going to do, was use DSPAM as the Delivery agent, after postfix, and then have it pass it off to dovecot, or something along those lines. I just had an idea, if we start using libdspam, in the dspam plugin, or one of the other suggested methods, we could have a similar plugin in the LDA, so that if

Problems trying to add dspam delivery to dovecot LDA to working Postfix/Dovecot server. No passdb.
Hello list, I'm really hoping someone can point me in the right direction on this. I set up a server using Postfix with LDAP lookups to Active Directory. Postfix delivers to maildir. Dovecot IMAP and POP are working correctly using PAM Kerberos to authenticate via Active Directory. I want to add spam filtering, so I'm trying to set up Postfix to use dspam which is then supposed to use

Segfault in auth (when talked to by postfix lda)
Afternoon all. I'm seeing a segfault in dovecot 2.2.12 (debian package 1:2.2.12-2). I can log into dovecot fine with mutt, but the segfaults seem to occur when postfix (2.11.0, debian package 2.11.0-1+b1) tries to deliver a message. This was working fine under 2.2.9 (I can downgrade to that and delivery works). Can anyone help? Doveconf -n, and backtrace follow.

pop3_lock_session and NFS
Hello, I need an advice about POP3 and NFS with Dovecot 1.0 (as 1.1 is still tagged beta) . I currently have all messages and indexes under a NFS partition . I thus turned cache off using actimeo=0 . Of course, my current architecture does not allow me to keep the same user on the same dovecot server. Now, I have some NFS issues with high percentages of getattr() . If I understood well, the

This only happens with messages, which over-quota user limit. dovecot-dspam-plugin not launching dspam
hello, i added the dovecot-dspam-plugin [1] to my dovecot-installation. when trying to move a mail out of or into the predefined spamfolder with thunderbird a messagebox shows : "dspam failed" and the message remains in its original position. i am using virtual mail users contained in a postgresql-database [2]. normal imap access and dspam training from the commandline works fine.
