Hello,
Seems that file ressource gets a new idea of what to be given.
I have the following recipe :

Dovecot 1.1.4 / Maildir++ quota and move to trash
Hello,
Seems there is some nasty problems with Dovecot 1.1.4...
We use Maildir++ quota, and when moving mail to Trash, Dovecot just
drop the connection... when the maildir is overquota.
Is there any way to avoid that and just move the mail to the trash
allowing user to expunge their mail easily without calling support to
do rm -rf Maildir/cur ?
Thanks,
/Xavier

Dovecot + NFS + FreeBSD breakage ?
Hi,
I am trying to update my old mails servers from dovecot 2.1.15 to 2.2.12 (freebsd ports) and upgrade to FreeBSD 10.0-P3.
My mail storage are on NFS with index also.
On 2.1.15 everything is ok, and in 10-mail.conf I have the good things to be added as wiki tell me (eg http://wiki2.dovecot.org/NFS).
BUT, when I try a single connection like :
$ telnet ::1 110
Trying ::1...

compile errors samba 3.0.7 vfs
Hi all,
sorry for the long posting.
Samba 2.2.x is outdated. Trying to switch to 3.0.7 with no success. The
vfs layer is one of my current problems. Googled some time for an
solution for this:

Sieve fileinto and year/month folders.
Hi there,
I am trying to move from lmtpd (lmtpd.sf.net) to dovecot sieve.
One thing used by some of powerusers are archiving mail automatically
with autocreated folders based on year + month.
Is there any good way to make that with sieve...
One example
require "fileinto";
if address :is ["From", "To"] "dovecot at dovecot.org" {

found a thread with almost my current problem. There wasn't any solution

Maybe anything has changed?

SASL from remote server
Is there a way, using Dovecot and Postfix, to use SASL from a remote
server? Since it appears the communication uses Unix sockets, does this
mean it is restricted to local services only?
I have a two-server configuration, where my firewall also runs the mail
gateway/filter (Postfix + ASSP). My internal server has Postfix +
Dovecot. Right now I have my internal server configured to use

Hello there,

Dovecot / FreeBSD / Nfs mailstore / Index=memory
Hello,
I have recently changed imap from Courier-imap to dovecot because of
serial problems with courier-imap, I have being forced to do it very
quickly... and without extensives tests.
I have 3 mails servers (freebsd based) behind a load balancer and a
nfs mailstore on a netapp.
On my first tests I have setup the index into some nfs shared mount,
but it seems that some imap clients are

Sent, Drafts, Trash folders
I am hosting imap mail for a new affiliate and am offering webmail via
squirrelmail as well. Squirrelmail created INBOX.Sent, INBOX.Trash, etc by
default and I would like to use these folders for my Dovecot imap users. I
am using the mbox format, Postfix and users retrieve mail via the Outlook
client remotely in addition to webmail access.
Thank you for any help.

Drafts, Trash, Sent
Hi,
I'm testing a dovecot installation using thunderbird as imap client.
The first user I configured has regolar folders: Drafts, Sent and Trash, and thunderbirs shows each one with its icon.
The second user shows these folders with a standard icon, and I'm not able to save email in sent.
I cann't understand why there is this difference, and how dovecot manage these folder.
Can anyone

FW: how to create Drafts, Junk, Sent, Trash folders after user already created
Thanks for the suggestions, but I need to do this after users have been
created.
Would this be the best way?
To run this for each user:
doveadm mailbox create -u $username -s Drafts
doveadm mailbox subscribe -u $username Drafts
doveadm mailbox create -u $username -s Junk
doveadm mailbox subscribe -u $username Junk
doveadm mailbox create -u $username -s Sent
doveadm mailbox subscribe -u

how to create Drafts, Junk, Sent, Trash folders after user already created
Hello Dovecot,
Do to a misconfiguration, I have a bunch of users who do not have the
standard folders.
I can create a routine to cycle through the users and look for the folders
and run a command if there is one.
Is there a way to create the proper namespace for a user after the user has
already been created?
Thanks in advance.

Originally we were running a 2.x version of Samba and all users had local

HFC ISDN card with bristuff from jung hanns.n et?
Hi Alessio
Yes, the problems you report do seem similar to the issues I had. I found on the Dells that the audio prompts were very choppy and played slower than normal. Occasionally there would be 'bursts' oav a second or so of 'good' audio.
I also suspected IRQ issues but the Dell Mobos had no way of adjusting them. Best thing is to try and get the card on its own unshared
