Hlink node data for 570645 already has path ...
When syncing one backup system (running dirvish, but that's not really relevant) to a second long-term backup system which uses btrfs snapshots, I get the following output: rsync: link "/parasite.oob.telegraaf.net/vservers-var-www/tree/elo/var/www/lokaalx/openx-htdocs/etc/xmlcache/.svn/prop-base/cache_etc-changes_schema-tables-core-12934.bin.svn-base" (in backup-aquagirl) =>

Vservers and shorewall
hello I''m using the 2.6 series 5 vservers on eth1 running on debian unstable and I wanted two of them to be used as "proxies". One of the proxies has 3 interfaces (well 4 if you count the ath0 interface whose traffic I''d like to pass through the "vproxy"); one facing the hosts''/out interface, one facing the "dmz" where two vservers

Shell Expansion in logcheck.logfiles
I'm running logcheck on a machine hosting a bunch of virtual machines using vserver, so I'd like to expand shell wildcards in the "logcheck.logfiles" file. So instead of entering /var/lib/vservers/v1/var/log/syslog /var/lib/vservers/v2/var/log/syslog /var/lib/vservers/v2/var/log/syslog I can enter /var/lib/vservers/*/var/log/syslog which gets expanded to the same thing as

[feature request] Reverse socks proxy
Hello. OpenSSH has -D option to create socks proxy (take local traffic and send it from remote machine). But sometimes there is an opposite problem: to allow apps on remote machine send traffic from local machine (for example, to get access to intranet resources). Expected syntax (I use -B as fist unused letter, plus it may be memorized as 'back'): ssh -B 127.0.0.1:1080 user at

How disable forwarding-only connections (i.e. non-shell/command non-sftp connections)? (Maybe this is a feature request!)
Hi Peter, What I am looking for is an SSHD configuration where every successfully authenticated connection also guaranteedly will lead to a ForcedCommand invocation. Currently I understand this to be the case only for the connections that open channel to deliver a terminal, command or SFTP (I don't know if you have a collective name for such non-forwarding channels). Is this possible?

DAHDI Dummy for Linux VServers
I'm running dahdi on the host system, and have added the /dev/dahdi/ devices to the guest vserver as recommended in Beave's "Virtual Private Asterisk" whitepaper (http://www.telephreak.org/papers/vpa/). I tried copying libtonezone.so and libtonezone.h to the guest, but I couldn't anything to replace zaptel.h in DAHDI souce (it seems dahdi.h was deprecated?). I need to

Kernel 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64, higher than usual load
I did a batch update on a number of Xen vservers, with kernel 2.6.32-573.26.1 being installed. In addition to load averages being high and these #s not being reflected by the individual CPU numbers within top, I now have a spattering of occasional daemon crashes that the vservers have historically never had. Such as, here is the start of a nameserver blowing up in my logs: May 12 04:03:41 XXX

hang with rsync 3.0.0pre7 doing local copy
I've noticed the 3.0.0pre versions sometimes hanging while doing a local copy (through dirvish). This time a had a binary with debugging symbols, so I could do gdb backtraces. This is the result: # ps -fe | grep rsync root 3712 3710 0 02:04 ? 00:00:03 rsync -vrltH --delete -pgo --stats -D --numeric-ids -x --exclude-from=/backup/0/oudeserver/laatste/exclude

rsync feature request: conditional compression
rsync is optimized to conserve network resources, sometimes at the expense of CPU resources. As long as CPU's are fast and networks are slow, rsync with compression does a great job. However, if I run rsync on a slow box (166MHz Ultra SPARC) over a fast network (100Mb/s), the compression kills the transfer rate. I turned compression off and I should be done rsyncing my files (60GB)

Diablo 2
Hello, I have wine version 20031016 and I was so pleased that wine + diablo 2 LOD 1.10 + Battle.net actually worked !! But now when I want to enter battle.net (or any game that is) with the true game.exe (i.e. not the cracked one) the game gives me a segfault. I've tried --debugmsg +all but that didn't give me much to work with :/ Does anyone know what went wrong ?? It plays just

Feature request: FAIL_DELAY-support for sshd
Hello! My Linux-server is every day attacked with brute-force password cracking attacks. I use openssh-3.9p1 (SuSE Linux 9.2) with standard setup (PAM, LoginGraceTime 2m, MaxAuthTries 6). Unfortunately, I see cracking attempts with very short delays (1 second): Jan 31 00:46:53 XXX sshd[10774]: Invalid user backup from ::ffff:66.98.176.50 Jan 31 00:46:54 XXX sshd[10776]: Invalid user server

Can i have two asterisk versions running on samePC??
Hello, I think that the best way it's to use vservers: http://deb.riseup.net/vserver/create-instance/ With this you can run as much asterisk as you want :-) Bst regards, Thomas ________________________________ De : asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] De la part de Sri Keerthy Envoy? : lundi, 13. novembre 2006 08:23 ? :
