VERY cool add-on request.
I would like to have the ability to execute a command on a folder based on a user doing something like copying a message to that folder. This could be accomplished with a config file directive. For example, this would be EXTREMEMLY useful as a spam learning hook. Take a scenario where each user has their own spamassassin bayes database, and you want to give the users the ability to train their

How does one mark all messages as read (imap4flag "seen") with sieve?
I don't use the Anti-Spam plugin; I just fire off a BASH script every four hours with crontab which iterates thru the vmail email accounts and trains Spamassassin 'per-user' accounts. If the script sounds interesting I can post it here. It probably could use a little polish though. Bill On 11/9/2016 6:49 PM, Ben Johnson wrote: > On 11/5/2016 1:22 PM, Larry Rosenman wrote:

zlib, mdbox and spam filtering scripts
> Let the MTA feed SA. > http://gtmp.org/doku.php?id=publications:sa-postfix-en Hi Oscar, Hi dovecot-list, I read through the docs, quite interesting read. But I?m wondering, mails are in this case only kept temporary? So re-reading spam and ham is not possible?!? It seems useful still, as it?s direct and not run via a daily cron script. I also looked into Sven?s advice (Danke!) about

A sqlite-based quota dict
Hello, While experimenting with the sqlite backend, I noticed a big vacuum wrt its use for a quota dict. This is thus an opportunity to share a solution I managed to devise after some trials and errors and a (very quick and unscientific) look at the code. And also the opportunity to ask the community to check for possible flaws. Yes, nothing comes for free... ;-) TIA, Axel This is the SQL

Antispam plugin custom behavior?
Hello, I currently have a setup on my system with what I call "magic folders" to enable spam filter training. Here's how it works: 1. If you have a false-negative, put the spam into the Spam.Report folder 2. If you have a false-positive (which has all kinds of ugly spamassassin protective markup in it), put the message into the Spam.NotSpam folder

Tunnelling Puppet over SSH
I work at a large financial institution (AXA) and we have a large number of DMZs for our partner and internet-facing servers. The only access to the various DMZs is via SSH and no DMZ-initiated connections are allowed back to the internal network. I''d consider putting a Puppet server in the DMZ but no communication is allowed between DMZs either. Has anyone tried tunnelling Puppet

IProute2 and netfilter interactions
I am trying to build a firewall and from my reading of the list archives and other places, I''m worried about unintended interactions between iptables and iproute2. Here is my situation I have an internal network on eth0 and two separate dmzs on eth1 and eth2 respectively (a wireless network and a kiosk). On the outbound side, I have a cablemodem provider and a dsl provider. What I

Complex Routing/Firewalling/Bridging question
I''m being cast headlong into unfamiliar waters here, and being desperate for some air, thought I''d come here for some help. :) Anyway, my employer is going through some whiplash-inducing growth spurts, and as a result, the simple "Internet T-1 -> Linux Firewall/NAT -> LAN" setup just isn''t going to cut it anymore. First, we''re bringing in 2

mailtrain with dovecot antispam plugin
Hello all, and Johannes if you're around, I was trying to set up the "new" antispam plugin with the mailtrain backend, and i was trying to use the sendmail binary that's part of a qmail system. The message wouldn't get sent and i kept getting exit error 100 from the /var/qmail/bin/sendmail binary. To try to figure out what was happening, i mean a fake sendmail program,

syncing imap servers with imapsync
hello list, I am attempting to sync two imap servers using the imapsync perl script. It seems handy and easy. Here's what happens when I try to do this: # # Postfix master process configuration file. preserving \Recent when moving messages
Is there any way to preserve \Recent, or am I out of luck? Some people have reported that my script which shuffles around expired or oversized mail also causes their clients to report it as already read. I guess those clients check \Recent instead of \Seen when they download. I wish I knew which clients. With Mail::IMAPClient I tried using move(), copy(), and migrate() but the result is the

ENVELOPE mishandling of Subject lines with quote(s)?
Hi, I am running dovecot version 1.2.9 on a Ubuntu 10.04 server. To obtain the message's header info from this dovecot imap server, I run the following imap command on a client side's imap session: . fetch 88:90 (envelope) which returns (in this case) ------------------------------------------------------------- * 88 FETCH (ENVELOPE ("Tue, 28 Oct 2008 15:45:35 -0500"
