v1.1 plans
I think I won't do any actual releases until it's mostly feature
complete. Then maybe v1.1.alpha1 or v1.1.beta1. So if you want to test
it before then, use CVS or the nightly snapshots.
I'm planning on keeping v1.1 almost completely compatible with v1.0.
There could be some minor configuration file changes, but for most
people v1.0's dovecot.conf should work with v1.1.
I want to

doveadm quota get doesn't recalculate quota (Maildir backend)
Hello,
I've noticed that "doveadm quota get" doesn't recalculate quota if
maildirsize file is missing for some reason. It just says quota is
unknown, usage is 0.
In contrast, vpopmail does regenerate maildirsize if it is missing.
Reading the Maildir++ specification there is this part:
...If maildirsize does not exist, or if its size is at least 5120
bytes, recalculate

Problem with passwords surrounded by curly braces
Hello,
one of my users set his password to something surrounded by curly braces,
and promptly all access to his mailbox was refused. After looking through
the logs I found an entry "Unknown password scheme xxxx", where "xxxx"
is the user's password, but without the curly braces.
I then browsed through the documentation and there was explained that it
is possible to prefix

Double quota calulation when special folder is present
Hello,
we're operating dovecot on a small server. Some years ago, we migrated
from courier IMAP to dovecot. Therefore, we defined our default
Namespace "inbox" with prefix "INBOX." to have this compatible. I found
this in some migration docs those days. Generally, everything worked as
expected.
Our only namespace is configured like this:
namespace inbox {
separator = .

Dovecot not liking AD config from wiki??
Hi,
I'm trying to setup Dovecot with MS AD and am using this as my guide:
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/ActiveDirectoryNtlm
I can definitely access information on the AD server using wbinfo -g
and wbinfo -u.....
Currently my dovecot.conf file looks like this:
# v1.1:
#auth_ntlm_use_winbind = yes
# v1.2+:
auth_use_winbind = yes
auth_winbind_helper_path = /usr/local/bin/ntlm_auth

recalculated ALTHOUGH they deleted lots and lots of mails.
I'm using today's hg checkout of 1.2 beta 4
