Duplicate Messages, Different X-UIDs?
We're running into an issue where sendmail is only receiving one e-mail,
but after a client accesses the message via IMAP and moves it to another
IMAP folder, the message duplicates but each message has different X-UID
headers. Has anyone ever seen this type of anomaly before? Is it a bad
IMAP client, or a known bug?
Running 1.0.7

dovecot-auth: Too many open files
All,
[version: dovecot-0.99.11-4.EL4.src.rpm]
We recently experienced an issue that prevented all new IMAP logins from
occurring. Although it appears that it was due to running out of
available system file descriptors, I'm still not sure what the true root
cause was as I can't replicate the same error in our test environment.
The system file descriptor max was set at (per `cat

Throttle New Connections?
All,
Is anyone using iptables (recent module), or any other alternatives, to
throttle the number of new imap or pop connections per minute? We have
some applications that like to login every second to pull mail using
imap, so we'd like to protect the entire dovecot server from these
applications. We've already made the change over to high-perf mode, but
we still need some type of denial

locking strategies?
Any known issues with these locking strategies? (RHEL 4.x default)
Dovecot:
mbox_locks = fcntl
Procmail
Locking strategies: dotlocking, fcntl()
We're considering moving to all dotlocking after a recommendation from
RedHat, even though we're not using NFS at all.
Thanks!

Message UID Question
I have referred to the wiki and the RFC, but I still can't find the
exact answer I'm looking for. From what I know, Dovecot uses the IMAP
standard of 32 bit integers to uniquely identify messages.
After a message is deleted from the mbox, can this UID ever be reissued
to a new message or is that UID retired? What about after the 2 billion
limit is reached?
Thanks!

Summary of data for each year
Hello All,
I have a data with two columns. In one column it is date and in another
column it is flow data.
I was able to read the data as date and flow data. I used the following
code:
creek <- read.csv("creek.csv")
library(ggplot2)
creek[1:10,]
colnames(creek) <- c("date","flow")
creek$date <- as.Date(creek$date, "%m/%d/%Y")

[LLVMdev] News on vmkit
Hi everyone,
vmkit had two major improvements recently, so I guess I should let you
know :).
First, it does not require to patch llvm. So you can use your llvm TOT
with it. There are some not-required arch-specific patches in case you
encounter problems when executing large applications. These should be
mainly for ppc external symbols and x86 SSE. Please post to llvm-dev
your test-case if

[LLVMdev] News on vmkit
Hi,
It is possible using Harmony - http://harmony.apache.org
instead of classpath? Harmony has Garbage Collector and class lib.
And is there any plan port it to win32?

Function that is giving me a headache- any help appreciated (automatic read )
note: whole function is below- I am sure I am doing something silly.
when I use it like USGS(input="precipitation") it is choking on the
precip.1 <- subset(DF, precipitation!="NA")
b <- ddply(precip.1$precipitation, .(precip.1$gauge_name), cumsum)
DF.precip <- precip.1
DF.precip$precipitation <- b$.data
part, but runs fine outside of the function:

read.table error
R experts,
I am working with a fairly large data set comprised of 563 rows by 116 columns including several
different modes. I have been unable to read in the data set completely using the read.table
function and the RGui (i.e. nearly half the total number of rows are missing from the data set
along with the column names). The data does read in fully using Tinn-R's Rterm;
however, at several

config file locations
Greetings;
I found pdf user manual which explains a few things that might help.
However, for a ubuntu flavor, the various .conf etc files seem to be in
/etc/nut.
But this pdf says they are in /usr/local/ups/etc, and yes indeed there are
some there, with the .sample files being owned by root, and the rest are
user 503, whoever he may be.
Are these just a sample storage in case one needs to

Samba 4.11.3, 4.10.11 and 4.9.17 for Centos7/RHEL7
Hi everyone,
I've posted some rpm builds of samba 4.11.3, 4.10.11 and 4.9.17 for
RHEL/Centos 7.x (currently 7.7). The 4.11 rpms use the python3 and
python3-devel rpms introduced in the standard RHEL/Centos repos at the
same time as the 7.7 version.
Comments and/or testing feedback would be most welcomed.

nut on pclos-2010.7
Greetings people;
The section of drakeconf that pclos uses has two problems.
First is several screens full of complaints about deprecated syntax in
"/etc/udev/rules.d/70-nut-usbups.rules" at each reboot.
So I pulled the current 2.5 svn trunk, then found I was missing quite a few
build tools needed here that aren't used when building a kernel, currently
running a 32 bit

Need the date included in nuts -wall msgs.
Greetings all;
Is it possible to set a logging option in one of the config files so that
when we have a 1 second power bump, the date is included, both in the
log, and in the -wall broadcast?
We apparently have a substation regulator in the process of failing, and
the recycle isn't normally slow enough to reset the clocks, but it
killing one of my computers w/o actually causing a reboot.
