Dovecot + Exim + Maildir quota problem
Hi all i'm a new user of this list, i got a server with DirectAdmin
which has exim as MUA, dovecot as POP/IMAP server, recently i added the
quota to exim and pointed the maildirsize file in the same location if
the dovecot's one so both services can interact with it. This has been
done to let exim update the quotas while doing localdelivery while
dovecot can show quotas through

maildir, how to always add size tags to filename (,S=).
Hi There,
I have thoroughly read through documentation and wiki and I simply cannot
find how to force dovecot to always add the size tag to the filename when
using maildir format.
We are using dovecot 2.2.9 (whatever comes from ubuntu 14.04 LTS).
We are using dovecot in conjunction with exim with maidirsize file enabled
and maildir quotas.
For example exim has following configuration:

maildir-tags
Hello,
I configured my MTA to store messages in maildirs with a tag
"S=$message_size", so quota calculations can be done without stat()ing
the message file. However, I have a lot old messages, than haven't been
stored with this tag. Is it possible to configure dovecot so that it
will rename each file adding this messagesize-tag if it is not found in
a file already?
You can

"doveadm fetch" fetches mails twice?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
As far as I understood
fetch -u p.heinlein at jpberlin.de hdr mailbox-guid [...]93d5 uid 58175
should fetch exactly the header of the specified mail. But on my
Dovecot 2.2.12 it fetches the header *twice* (same with body, same
with text).

If this is an SMTP relay server, I'm surprised you bothered to install
an IMAP server at all. It would have been easier to simply alias
postmaster@ to another account on another machine where you do store
mailboxes. I.e. simply

Conditionally Filter Mails During IMAP Fetch
Hi, is there a way to arbitrarily filter out mails at the moment the
IMAP request is made, based on properties of the IMAP session and the
mail itself?
All the filtering methods I find occur during delivery time.

Try loading zlib plugin globally, so add
mail_plugins = $mail_plugins zlib
before your protocol sections

How to dsync mdbox compressed to maildir uncompressed
Hello,
we are using doveadm sync to export mdbox to maildir format, so we can use an external tool to convert into an pst file.
Since we have enabled zlib compression doveadm sync always exports the maildir gzip compressed.
Are there any ways to prevent the doveadm sync to export the maildir compressed ?
Have tried this: doveadm -o "maildir_copy_with_hardlinks=no" sync -u imap at

Non-blocking file_dotlock_open() in quota-maildir question
Hello,
Is it safe to change lines in plugins/quota/quota-maildir.c::maildirsize_write() from
? fd = file_dotlock_open_group(.., DOTLOCK_CREATE_FLAG_NONBLOCK, ..);
to
? fd = file_dotlock_open_group(.., 0, ..); ?
Rationale is: exim+cpanel frequently leave stale maldirsize.lock, but when quota plugin try to dotlock maildirsize, it do this with NONBLOCK flag and just once, so first lock fails with

Panic: file mailbox-list-maildir.c: line 133: unreached
I converted personal mailboxes from maildir to sdbox. Public mailboxes
are still in maildir format, because I need per-user seen flags.
However, if the user is subscribed to public mailboxes and the client
sends 'LIST (SUBSCRIBED) "" *', dovecot crashes with:
