$MAIL environment variable to override mail_location works in v1.2.16 but not in v2.0.7 for /usr/libexec/dovecot/imap
Hi, For the past day, I have been researching about making dovecot to support mailfront (http://untroubled.org/mailfront/) imapfront-auth natively and able to use mailfront imapfront-auth with dovecot imap v1.2.16 without starting any dovecot related services and no /etc/dovecot.conf file is required. More information about this can be read at:

Strange server locks isuess with 2.0.7 - updating
Hi Marek, Is it possible for you to provide a backtrace of the crash? And can you file a bug report at bugs.gluster.com? Also if possible can you upgrade to 2.8 release and confirm whether you face the same problem? regards, ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marek" <mb at kis.p.lodz.pl> To: gluster-users at gluster.org Sent: Thursday, November 19, 2009 7:20:44 PM GMT +04:00 Abu

Differences between Versions 1 and 2?
What are the major differences between Versions 1.x and 2.0? I am beginning to set up a new mail server for a small group of users (~20 accounts). Options are the "0.99" version pre- packaged with RHEL-4, or building v1.2.16 or v2.0.7. Just wondering what the list recommends for a new installation. Thanks, - Don

ssl_verify_server_cert against SAN?
Have you considered any alternatives? I'm thinking of IPSec to create a secured network encapsulation channel(s) "above" the TCP connection(s). This would provide encryption with control over cipher(s), and cert validation on both sides (if you used cert auth, not PSK). -- K On Thu, Apr 18, 2019, at 12:15 PM, TG Servers via dovecot wrote: > Ok then it seems again a MariaDB

version_ignore=yes
Hello, When upgrading Dovecot, I get this: Dovecot version mismatch: Master is v2.0.6, imap-login is v2.0.7 (if you don't care, set version_ignore=yes) This should not occur as version_ignore=yes is in dovecot.conf, at the top. Cheers, Olivier

Compiling Samba for LynxOS?
When I attempted to build Samba (v2.0.7) on a LynxOS (v3.1) box I was told that configure could determine my operating system. LynxOS, for those that don't know, is a Unix-like RTOS. It comes with a binary version of Samba, but a) it's old and b) it's not built for encrypted passwords which means I can't access it from WinNT. Can anyone advise me on what it would take to build

Possible Problems with the Sybase product PowerBuilder
Good morning, I have a problem and I am unsure whether it's anything to do with Samba. We use Samba on HP-Unix in conjunction with a product from rational called clearcase. Occasionally from getting to our NT Desktops to our Unix environment Powerbuilder Files( which are binary files) get reduced down to 0 size, this gets saved and we end up losing our work. I am not expecting you to solve

multi user access to 1 data file
I am running v2.0.7 and have set up a network drive for an accounting ledger system. The software is called MYOB and is quite popular in Australia. My setup is: Global oplocks = yes socket options = TCP_NODELAY socket options = IPTOS_LOWDELAY [MYOB] path=/home/office/MYOB force group = office directory mask = 0770

smbmount ignores noatime
When mounting a Windows share within Linux the noatime option seems to be ignored. I use the following command mount -tsmbfs -ousername=user,noatime //192.168.0.12/eclipse /mnt/tmp Each cat /mnt/tmp/testfile updates the last access time regardless if noatime specified or not. I'm running smbmount v2.0.7 on a old Suse production system, but I could reproduce the same behaviour with a current
