Hello, i am running CentOS 5.4. i have a requirement where i need to have 1 application have a single processor all to its self, and the rest of the system run on the other processors. That will only happen if something is really wrong. Might be better to figure out what it might be. Icecast buffers a bit (in order to burst into a client buffer) but it doesn't buffer increasingly over time. That will only happen if the client is falling farther and farther behind, not icecast. I have begun to notice that the smartd stalls my machine's boot process for as much as 2-3 minutes while it is coming up.
