delivering to folder based on recipient_delimiter?
I'm currently running postfix + dovecot, with virtual users
In postfix I have set recipient_delimiter = + so that postfix accepts
mail for user at example.com, user+foo at example.com, and
user+spam at example.com all deliver to inbox.
what I would like is to have email directed to user+foo at example.com
delivered to the IMAP folder foo (and, in the context of amavisd,

How do I use plus-addressing in Dovecot 1.1.x?
I'm using Postfix, Amavisd-new/SpamAssassin, and Dovecot. They all run
on the same server (running Linux). The mailboxes are stored on the
same server in maildir format.
The logical path for incoming messages (as I understand it) is:
1) received by Postfix; handed off to Amavisd-new
2) Amavisd-new checks to see whether or not it's spam/undesirable;
hands off to Dovecot deliver

plus addressing bug in dovecot 1.1.x?
I had recently upgraded from Dovecot 1.0.14 to 1.1.0, and then to
1.1.1. Ever since the upgrade to 1.1.0, I noticed that "plus
addressing" has failed. In case I'm using a foreign phrase, this is
the concept of sending an e-mail to "user+spam at domain.com", and having
dovecot (dovecot LDA, specifically), deliver this to the "spam"
submailbox to

Issue with domains
I am running Dovecot 1.0.10 and have it working great on ender.ath.cx (my
free DynDNS.com subdomain), but recently I registered lemcoe.com and
pointed it to the same IP address as ender.ath.cx. The problem is, only
e-mail sent to the @ender.ath.cx works. If it is send it to @lemcoe.com, I
don't know where it goes. I get no errors either.
How can I get Dovecot to recognize both domains?
TIA.

Dovecot LDA/LMTP vs postfix virtual delivery agent and the x-original-to header
I'm resurrecting this again because I'm getting pretty close to possibly
being ready to install a brand new dovecot server (finally), but I still
need for dovecots LMTP to add the x-original-to header.
So... was this completed quietly, or is support for it still not there?
Thanks,
Charles

Should we run Amavisd on our final delivery hosts?
We use Cyrus-imapd together with Postix to effect final delivery of
email messages to our clients. The final delivery server is isolated
from the internet via a firewall and only pre-authorized host
addresses can connect. All user pickup and delivery email traffic is
handled through separate Internet accessible hosts that may establish
these connections. The Internet facing hosts have Postfix

SpamAssassin under CentOS-6.4
I wonder if anyone is actually running SpamAssassin
with Postfix/Amavisd-new under CentOS-6.4 .
I have followed the instructions in
<http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Amavisd>
but as far as I can see SpamAssassin is not working.
I should say that I do not understand from this document
what is meant to happen to spam.
I understand that a Spam header is added,
but what actually happens to email

sudo /etc/init.d/dovecot start doesn't work
I've been trying to get dovecot working with postfix with virtual domain
setting. I noticed that if I started dovecot with "sudo /usr/sbin/dovecot",
everything would work fine. But if I started with "sudo /etc/init.d/dovecot
start", I would get the following permission error. I checked "ps -ef | grep
dovecot" and didn't find anything different.

What is vuid?
I'm getting the following errors in my error logs:
ERROR! vuid 100 did not map to a valid vuser struct!
At the time this error was being created I was trying to add a domain user as
a local admin. I was trying to get the browse list of domain users up, but
being denied.
Cheers

delivery to incorrect user
Yesterday a user reported to me that she received a bunch of emails that
were not addressed to her. I'm using dovecot version 0.99.11 along with
postfix and amavisd-new. I don't know how this happened because each mail
file in /var/mail/ is only readable by the user. Has anyone ever heard of
this happening before?

Successful Mail Delivery Report
Sorry Achim
I didn't want to be rude, but I forgot to answer on your last
Suggestion.
Using Kerberos is not really an Option for me, because I want to use
smartphones as well with no Thunderbird and no Domain Membership.

I am not sure of the location of 15-lda.conf, however in my main dovecot.conf file I added "recipient_delimiter = +"

Virtual Users and permission denied on POP3 Authentication - cur directory
Hi,
I've been working on configuring a new Postfix+Dovecot+Cyrus-SASL
+Postgres server to perform multi-domain virtual hosting with non-unix
accounts. I believe I have everything working correctly and have
tested both the SASL portion and POP authentication through telnet and
all works as expected, with one exception.
When I authenticate using POP3:
# telnet mail.host 110

[Dovecot/VirtualUsers/VirtualMailBoxes] No mails into mua
Hi all, I've configured postfix with multiple host and virtual mailboxes
(main.cf is here: http://pastebin.com/798VVxbv).
So I can receive email to vuser at mydomain.tld into
/var/mail/vhosts/mydomain.tld/vuser file. Now I'm configuring dovecot 2.2.13-r1;
this is my dovecot -n and /etc/dovecot/passwddir/mydomain.tld/passwd:

NT User ID with apostrophe
I have a few users who have ID's in NT domain and AD that contain apostrophes, such as O'Neill (fo'neill) , and O'Toole (go'toole). I've been trying to give them access to shares, but Samba doesn't
seem to like this very much.
I've been able to set up the ID's in our LDAP server so file ownership works, but according to the log messages, Samba DOMAIN
