The second user shows these folders with a standard icon, and I'm not able to save email in sent. I cann't understand why there is this difference, and how dovecot manage these folder. Can anyone

I also have a "public" namespace that has the inboxes for public email accounts.? Everything is working for "regular" private email boxes. But, I can't see new messages delivered to any of the public inboxes. Incoming

Hide public mailboxes from some users
Hi all, I'm trying to set up public mailboxes for a subset of my users. This is on dovecot 2.2.27. I've created a new public namespace, and the new mailboxes indeed show up for everyone. So far so good. Now I want to restrict access: these mailboxes shouldn't be visible at all except to a fixed list of users. This part I can't seem to get working. I've added acl data

Metadata suport for public mailboxes
I'm using the latest version of dovecot (2.2.15) and I was trying to use a public namespace with metadata; I've found that it works for the users with enough permissions to set the metadata, but the values are set per user, that is, each user has its own metadata and does not see the values set by others. That sounds OK, as my mail_attribute_dict is configured as follows:

subfolders in public mailboxes
Hello, I added this to the configuration: namespace { type = public separator = . prefix = public. location = maildir:/var/mail/public subscriptions = no list = yes } and I can list maildirs inside these folders correctly. however, I can't see any subfolders. The issue seems to be that /var/mail/public dir itself is interpreted as a maildir directory. However, what I'd

Virtual and system users with public mailboxes
Hi, I am running dovecot 1.2.9 and postfix, and I am trying to setup a public mailbox. My thought is that there would be one system user with a sieve script to deliver messages to the public mailbox. And, I would like to give virtual users access to the mailbox. On this list, I read how you can have both system and virtual users by using passdb and static userdbs. But, I don't understand how

Hide public mailboxes from some users
Perhaps my previous email was a bit long. Let me start with a single question. Is a user without the "lookup" ACL right to a given mailbox supposed to be able to see the mailbox listed in their email client?

Shared Squat index for public mailboxes
Hi, I'm running Dovecot 1.2.17 for serving mail via IMAP as well as for providing access to a mailing list archive. The archive is implemented as a public read-only mailbox with per-user index files (i.e. the \Seen flags are per-user). I recently enbled the Squat plugin to accelerate searches in the message bodies and noticed that every user (I'm using a virtual user setup) gets his
