1.1RC1 upgrade notes
Yesterday I upgraded to Edge Rails in order to use DHH''s acts_as_taggable plugin. Wasn''t until I was almost done that I realized Edge had been promoted to 1.1RC1 :-) I''ve posted a few notes about dependencies/gotchas. Please add comments if I got something wrong or if you have further insights. http://fryolator.com/?p=13 Regards, John

Hang after upgrade to 1.1RC1 and Edge
The same application, working fine under 1.0, but after upgrade to 1.1RC1 (include edge Rails 4021) the cpu keeps spinning (took 85%) and the rest was taken by Postgresql. Looks like Rails keep sending sql statement to the database. I did a strace and following messages repeat: send(8, "Q\0\0\0\nBEGIN\0", 11, 0) = 11 rt_sigaction(SIGPIPE, {0xb7ec06bc, [], SA_RESTART}, {SIG_IGN},

Rails 1.1RC1 corrupts my sqlite3 database
When I run TOT rails, my development sqlite3 database is corrupted whenever Rails attempts to access it. I found this a couple of days ago and reported it as <http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/4330>. When I backout changeset 3981, I cannot reproduce the corruption. Has anyone else seen this problem? I''m running Mac OS X 10.4.5 with Ruby 1.8.4. I also have reinstalled both swig and

Flash issues with 1.1RC1
I did this: gem install rails --source http://gems.rubyonrails.org Then I ran my tests, and found that some (but not all) of my flash tests are failing. It''s always the same test methods that fail, which reside along-side test methods that have flash tests that don''t fail. Both get and post requests result in failures, so it''s not one particular type of request

Do I need ruby1.8.4 to run 1.1RC1?
Hi List, I''m successfully running the latest edge rails (I think). I keep seeing messages in the list about upgrading to ruby 1.8.4, I''m running 1.8.2. Do I *need* to upgrade to ruby 1.8.4? If so, why exactly? Also, any other tips on dependencies for the edge (that can''t be gleaned from the wiki?) Cheers, Ian

Update from 1.0.10 -> 1.1rc1 Inverted quota warning values?
I used 1.0.10 with the quota-rewrite patch for v1.0. With that, I configured: quota_warning = storage=10%% /usr/local/scripts/quota-warning 90 quota_warning2 = storage=5%% /usr/local/scripts/quota-warning 95 quota_warning3 = storage=1%% /usr/local/scripts/quota-warning 99 with 1.1, the logic for the quota_warning entries changed (http://wiki.dovecot.org/Quota/New): quota_warning =

Error with Rails 1.1RC1 and Properties page
I just tried setting up a simple Rails app, after updating to the 1.1RC1 version of Rails. Generating a simple scaffold worked fine, and WEBrick started fine with script/server. I then went to the http://localhost:3000 page and clicked on the "About your application''s environment" link, and an error was displayed: NoMethodError in Rails/info#properties private method
