Shared mailboxes (maildir, symlinks) and permissions
Hello list,
I am trying to set up a public mailbox for users to put spam in so that
sa-learn can do its job at night. Only I can't seem to fully understand how
and which permissions should be set. I've read [1] and am using Dovecot
1.0.1.
First some background information: I do not host or care (at the moment) about
virtual users or virtual mail hosting. All users have Unix system

RAILS_ROOT
Hey,
I''m using the attachment_fu plugin to upload images on the file system.
To retrieve them I''m using:
image = "/home/rajeev/Desktop/logo/logo/public#{icon.public_filename}"
which is the same as:
"/home/rajeev/Desktop/logo/logo/public/icons/0000/0005/green_nature_on_white.jpg"
Have can i do this in a shorter way by using RAILS_ROOT? I have tried

can't crop images using ImageMagick
I''m using Attachment_Fu to save several thumbnails of a photo
(resizing with ImageMagick)
But when I try to crop them, nothing seems to happen to the file I
want to drop and no error messages. I check the file timestamp of the
thumbnail I want to crop and it looks updated. What''s strange is that
ALL the other thumbnails and the original image''s file timestamps are

Too stupid for sieve (former maildrop user)
Hello,
I just migrated from Postfix/Courier/Maildrop to
Postfix/Dovecot/Deliver/Sieve and don't unterstand the right syntax
for sieve :(
I searched and found many small examples and many links to the RFC,
but nothing was usefull for me (or i didn't unterstand it)
I installed the latest Dovecot-Sieve (hg).
Examples from my maildrop config:
# Filter FROM
if($E =~ /name at domain1\.tld/)

Cannot delete folder
Assuming '8' = mail, i cannot see anything wrong here...
Can you turn on 'mail_debug=yes' and attempt folder deletion, and check logs after that?

Cannot delete folder
I guess you have had different version(s) or setting(s) in the past, and
you can probably fix this by setting perms to same as the new folders.

Sieve Frustrations
I'm soooo close, but this last little thing is eluding me...
I have the following Sieve rule in my global sieve rule:
require ["fileinto"];
# Move spam to spam folder
if header :contains "X-Spam-Flag" "YES" {
fileinto "Junk";
stop;
}
This isn't firing. The .Junk folder exists under the user directories,
but messages that have the

Dovecot + SpamAssassin through dovecot-antispam
Hello,
I am new to the list. /Waving at everyone/
I got a basic SpamAssassin working on a Debian setup (w/ debian-spamd
user), running as a Postfix transport.
I am currently trying to switch it to a dovecot plugin in order to make
it interactively work with the email storage (react to mail
classification, being able to train it from already received emails, aso.)
My problem is now making it

dovecot not delivering emails in the right folder
Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble getting postfix + dovecot to work correctly.
It seems like Postfix is receiving and delivering the emails correctly but
dovecot is placing/looking for them in the wrong folder therefore the
clients aren't receiving any new emails.
I switched from courier and followed a tutorial found here:

user login passwords are mixed up
Hello,
Some users in my domain report that they have to use different (old)
passwords on different computers. They say that they still have to use
their "old" passwords after they changed it. My domain setup is that users
are asked to automatically change their password on Windows 7 Enterprise
after some months. So they have to do that. Otherwise they cannot login.
But why is it, that
