APC Smart-UPS 3000XL: Compatible/Any good?
Hello list. I'm contemplating buying new batteries and putting an older APC Smart-UPS 3000XL back into service. Would that work well with NUT? Any drawbacks to consider? Thank you, Tobias -- Tobias Balle-Petersen Kontrapunkt Group / System Administrator

NUT 2.0.4-4 - Debian stable - /etc/killpower not created?
Hello.... I'm testing the functionality of my NUT-setup (NUT 2.0.4-4 - Debian stable). The system is connected to the UPS, but is not powered by it. When running "upsmon -c fsd", upsmon says "Auto logout and shutdown proceeding". This is all well and good, but I never see the machine waiting for the UPS to cut the power. Instead it shuts down. It's my

Asterisk trunking
Hello ! I am experiencing some problems with Asterisk trunking, this is the scenario: There are 3 servers, a DID server provider (VOIP provider) which delegates us a bunch of DID numbers to our asterisk server number one (I will call it AA), from which I route the calls to Asterisk server number 2 (I will call it BB), which then terminate on phone handsets. The trouble is, that I probably

CentOS7 kickstart failed ( no such option: --bytes-per-inode)
Dear All, I'm trying to create a kickstart installer. I specified an option --byes-per-inode to 'logvol' command, but I got a message "No such option: --bytes-per-inode" during installation. Does anybody know a solution? The following is the lines for disk partitioning definition specified in my kickstart file. ------------------------- ## ## Disk partitioning information

restrict postfix to only certain users getting incoming mail
Perhaps I am trying to do the impossible. centos6, spamassassin, procmail, dovecot, postfix. Postfix, by default, accepts all incoming mail to any user listed in the shadow/passwd and alias files. I cannot find a way to stop that without manually blocking each non wanted user (like nobody, apache) without killing local delivery. For most of the users listed in those files, who cares. However

Two operators, 10 rollover lines, Cisco 7960G chanisavail problem
Here's my situation. I have two receptionists that answer incoming lines. Each has a 7960G with 5 incoming lines each. I'm trying to set this up so each line on each phone doesn't utilize call waiting. My problem seems to be that ChanisAvail(Sip/cisco1&Sip/cisco2&Sip/cisco3&Sip/cisco4&Sip/cisco5) always returns cisco1. Here are the sip.conf entries: (mind you,

Realtime LDAP Queues crashes
Hi all, I've updated Asterisk trunk LDAP schema [0] [1] to include queues and other attributes needed for a working LDAP backend (I'll open a bug to include these changes on svn). SIP users and dialplan are perfectly working, but when I call a queue the whole Asterisk (1.6.2.0) crashes: on extconfig: [settings] sipusers => ldap,"dc=nodomain",sip sippeers =>

Hmisc latex() and Rcmdr numSummary() percentage issues
Dear R users, I have issues regarding latex() from Hmisc and numSummary() from Rcmdr. Here's an example: > library(Rcmdr) > data(Angell, package="car") > numSummary(Angell[,"hetero"], statistics=c("mean", "sd", "quantiles"), quantiles=c( 0,.25,.5,.75,1 )) > .numSummary <- popOutput() > latex(as.table(.numSummary$table),

Asterisk 1.6 Transfer issue[Edited]
Hi , I;ve Asterisk 1.6.0 with static agents (sip softphones with extns 100 & 101 ) in a queue..When a caller arrives in queue , it lands on first 100 , 100 then does a blind transfer to 101 .. so that the caller can converse with 101 .. strangely enough the queue_log shows : 1253814090|1253814090.12|55365|NONE|ENTERQUEUE||98221232123

latex table question
Hi: My head is spinning with this latex doc so hopefully after I align my tables to the left of the page my headache are going to be over. I always use: \hspace*{-0.1in} to move my figures horizontally to the left margin of the page but the table below doesn't move at all, but instead it gets sideways. Not sure if \begin{landscape} has something to do with it or is just me. I? hope someone

Trouble with codes from last snapshot!
Hi, Picked up last night's snap ... Building on my SGI O2 I get a big clipping problem .. Using the encoder_example to encode e.g. a 1 sec 16 bit stereo wav file, when I decode using decode_example I get clipping ... any ideas here???? I can hear the original in the clipped mush! The raw file plays just fine (on the SGI) and I have even decreased the gain to 80% and removed any DC offset

Comments ... SGI version ...
Hi, Have also made a new sgi_audio_output_example.c As its name suggests, it decodes a vorbis file direct to the audio output device. Works fine. Any sgi users out there? If so, let me know. Hello ... and a few comments.
Hi, I'm new here. This is all good news. I work on SGI systems and have built the encoder and decoder to work on SGI. I have also added code to the decoder_example so it writes out an "aifc" file using the SGI AF library. I had some compile problems for the main code using good old plain IRIX "cc". Simple fixes as follows ... In any source module which uses

Significances of Korrelations and Sweave
Hi, 1. I've written a function to obtain significances of correlations (there is probably already a function for this, but I'm still not very familar with all the functions). This function works just fine, but there are some differences with e.g. SPSS, not large though. Maybe some floating point calculation issues [1]? Maybe someone has time to have a look, I've uploaded a working
