mdbox_deleted proper syntax
hello, on the wiki, https://wiki2.dovecot.org/MailboxFormat/dbox, it says that one can use either doveadm fetch or doveadm import, however I can find no correct syntax with fetch that'll actually work. Is the idea to simply override the mail_location with -o ? That seems to work for doveadm mailbox but not for doveadm fetch or search # doveadm -f table mailbox status -u johan all dovecot

Quota exceeded messages
When I try to move messages between folders I get 'Quota exceeded' messages. I installed dovecot without any major configuration and accounts are created with PostfixAdmin. Is there some common setting that I must be missing? Version in use is 1.0 rc26 - Frank

merging Maildir from old machine to new machine
Dovecot version 1.0.rc26. Situation is essentially a forklift upgrade to make more horsepower available for email. Given a new mail store using Postfix and Dovecot (Maildir), is it possible to transfer from the old mail box (running the same config) or will this generate problems with the various indices maintained by Dovecot? Kind regards and thanks/ldv Larry Vaden Internet Texoma, Inc.

Rpm builders: Dovecot spec file
Maybe best asked to Axel... I'm re-building my server from scratch (the old one was MDK 10.1 -> Mandriva 2006.0 with Postfix/Courier) and I want to install the latest versions postfix/mysql/postfixadmin/dovecot/squirrelmail. I've been building Dovecot (and postfix) from tarballs/srpm in the past so I know more or less how it all fits together. But I wonder if 'old' patches

imap connection problems
Hi, Have encountered some strange behavior of dovecot: after few days of work (5-7 days, ~50 users, imap over ssl or tls) dovecot stops respond with "* OK Dovecot ready.". I.e. connection gets accepted, but no response from dovecot: [ivan at dyn-226 bin]$ telnet imap 143 Trying 192.168.100.9... Connected to imap.n-ix.com.ua (192.168.100.9). Unexplained MDA bounce backs
I have recently noticed that some of our internal mailer scripts are causing Dovecot-LDA to generate Mailer Delivery Subsystem messages. The following Dovecot-LDA message is generated: ---- Message body ---- Your message was automatically rejected by Dovecot Mail Delivery Agent. The following reason was given: Unknown error ---- Message body ---- ---- Message header ---- Return-Path:

Make SSH_ORIGINAL_COMMAND available in AuthorizedKeysCommand context
Hi Using SSH_ORIGINAL_COMMAND in AuthorizedKeys is so helpful, I'd like to know if it might be possible to access it in the AuthorizedKeysCommand context (via env ?). Is this possible ? can anybody give me advice on going into this ? If possible, I'll use this SSH_ORIGINAL_COMMAND to send client specifics information to the AuthorizedKeysCommand script. Currently, the only alternative

Reconnection problem with a USB device
This is going to be a bit off the wall as I doubt many people are using a VM in quite the same manner as I am in this case. I have a new scanner at home, a Mustek A3USB 1200 Pro, which requires a vendor supplied version of libsane to run. That is a pain in the behind just to start with. To use that scanner requires a 32b machine with sufficiently old versions of various libraries. My primary

Timeout on reconnection?
I have Red Hat Linux RHEL 4 with Samba version 3.0.10-1.4E that mounts a local Windows 2003 Server disc with the following command: /sbin/mount.cifs //img1/docs /var/www/documents -o dir_mode=0777,file_mode=0444, gid=100,uid=501,username={xxxxxxx},password={pppppp} The mount succeeds and the mount appears on the output of 'df' and the documents are accessible and life is as grand

Domain reconnection after network outage. (ME too)
Hello, I have a problem that seems to be similar as Ollivers (http://article.gmane.org/gmane.network.samba.general/61240/) but I cant find any answer to his question. After a network outage the samba server can't "reconnect" even after a _reboot_ of the whole server. I'm running Debian stable Samba 3.0.14a-3. The message I get in log.windbindd ----- [2005/09/28 10:10:54, 1]
