HI,
I?m currently testing the stats module of Dovecot (2.2.26.0 (23d1de6))
Looks like there no statistics under FreeBSD.
Server isn?t busy yet but got at least a few connection open.
Added
mail_plugins = $mail_plugins stats
plugin {
stats_refresh = 30 secs
stats_track_cmds = yes
}
doveadm stats dump global

See if there are any errors in logs. I guess mail-stats fifo doesn't have enough permissions so that

smbpasswd overwrites existing displayname in LDAP entry
Configuration: Samba 2.2.8a with openLDAP 2.1.30 on a SeSE 8.2. server
When adding a user using a ldif file we give the user a given name, say Ruud Baart.
The cn and uid are the same, say 21cs12345 (a studentnumber).
After adding the user to LDAP the displayname is as expected: "Ruud Baart".
However after smbpasswd -a 21cs12345 -s secret the displayname is "21cs12345".

Centos 8 install of squirrelmail
Hi,
I am trying to install Squirrelmail on Centos 8 but it seems that package
is missing in the EPEL repo for Centos 8? Anyone know if this was on
purpose or how to tell which packages won't be created?
Thanks,

Squirrelmail
I have an urgent (isn't it always the way!) need to set up webmail for one of our users.
I intalled Squirrelmail, added /etc/httpd/conf.d/php.conf and
etc/httpd/conf.d/php.conf/squirrel.conf to my webserver config (which
is not RH stock) and ran the squirrelmail conf.pl
I know nothing at all about php, so am having a hell of a time diagnosing
the errors, and the squirrelmail.org site knows

First time Dovecot user, really impressed so far. What is best IMAP enabled webmail package to go with Dovecot?
Greetings everyone,
I'm new to the list as of today. I just installed Dovecot a couple of days ago
for the first time, Debian Lenny Dovecot v1.0.15-2.3. So far I'm pretty
impressed. I'm using mbox format with Dovecot auto-deciding to place mail in
user home directories, which is great. It works very well with the Win32
Thunderbird 3 client over a small basic 100FDX switched net.

Hi,
You can rebuild the RPM on a CentOS 8 box from
https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/SRPMS/Packages/s/squirrelmail-1.4.23-1.el7.20190710.src.rpm
or

and install the resulting RPM.

equipment
Hello, it is likely that I will have to analyze a rather sizeable dataset:
60000 records, 10 to 15 variables. I will have to make descriptive
statistics, and estimate linear models, glm's and maybe Cox proportional
hazard model with time varying covariates. In theory, this is possible in
R, but I would like to get some feedback on the equipment I should get for
this. At this moment, I have a

IMAP and webmail applications
I've been hunting around for a webmail application other than
squirrelmail for reasons that really don't matter.
But I'm seeing that a lot of these applications tend to sometimes access
servers via IMAP, but they always seem to have a touch more information
needed than might be for an IMAP session.
An example is openwebmail. It authenticates very similar to how dovecot

Can't access Squirrelmail on Centos 8
Good evening,
I have not able able to run the http://ip-addr/src/configtest.php script, nor access Squirrelmail. Looking for suggestions on what I might
have missed. When I try either http://ip-... or https://ip-..., I get the following reply
Forbidden You don't have permission to access /webmail/src/configtest.php on this server.
I got squirrelmail installed in /usr/share/squirrelmail and

How to run Dovecot as IMAP Proxy?
Hi All,
I have migrated from uw-imap to Dovecot for POP3 & IMAP service. I run webmail using squirrelmail. When running uw-imap I used to run up.imapproxyd on the webmail server for faster responses. After migrating to Dovecot, I find that up.imapproxyd does not work well with dovecot.
I tried to use dovecot as IMAP PRoxy server as per the document

troubles with 1.1.8 and squirrelmail over HTTPS
Hello
I noticed a problem after upgrading to 1.1.8
Users that access to their mailboxes using webmail squirrelmail and HTTPS
using HTTP seems to work correctly but it not safe enough ...
There is an error message saying the imap server send a BYE command ...
I downgraded our Dovecot server to 1.1.7 then it works again ...
Does somebody has the same problem ?

No proxy. Just sendmail with users using emacs/Rmail or
