Dovecot 1.1.12 ignores auth_krb5_keytab settings
Hello,
i am using here a FreeBSD 7.0 amd64 with latest dovecot from ports.
It ignores the krb5_keytab settings, which looks like this in the logs:
dovecot: Aug 02 18:56:54 Error: auth(default): gssapi(?,130.149.58.145):
While processing incoming data: Miscellaneous failure (see text)

auth_krb5_keytab ignored ?
Hi list,
i noticed that when doing imap gssapi authentication with kerberos,
dovecot (here 2.1.7) always searches /etc/krb5.keytab although i have
auth_krb5_keytab = /etc/mail3.krb5.keytab in my etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf
and doveconf -n also show this setting. If i combine the keytabs in
krb5.keytab it works. Is there another location where i should put my
configuration regarding gssapi/kerberos ?

quota_rule beeing ignored and set to system soft! quota
Hi,
originating from the same Problem Edgar Fu? described here [1] about
"Zero-sized Maildir files and index corruption on over-quota" i setup
quota = fs:user quotas with a quota_rule set to 1.5G to prevent getting
those zero sized mail files. What happens now is that when the user is
over system soft quota (1G) mails stop beeing delivered.

Dovecot dsync not replicating ".dovecot.sieve -> .sieve/managesieve.sieve" / setactive
Hello,
I've ran into problem with Dovecot and dsync replication. Everything
works perfectly, including replication of sieve scripts, except fact
that if user activates the 'managesieve' ruleset (I'm using currently
Roundcubemail) on "mail1" host, it wouldn't be activated on "mail2"
host, by creating symlink ".dovecot.sieve ->

Dovecot 1.1rc3 "Out of Memory" crashes from pop3-login?
We recently began seeing server crashes in our cluster related to
"pop3-login", which is causing "oom-killer" to be invoked. The server
only recovers after a reboot.
From dovecot.conf:
login_process_per_connection = yes
login_processes_count = 16
login_max_processes_count = 256
(Should we try switching processes_per_connection to no?)
From dovecot.log:

Index and Thunderbird
Hi,
Whitbox Linux 3 (RHEL)
Dovecot 1.0.rc29
Using NFS
From time to time does all mail get re-downloaded to Thunderbird. I
would believe this has something to do with an index problem. I upgraded
to 1.0 a few months ago but that didn't work well so I installed version
1.0.rc29 which worked better but we still get this problem from time to
time. DOes anyone know if it is a good idea to

Dovecot auto vacation with sieve doesn't work
Guys, I'm running out of hair to pull out ;).
Can anyone out there say that this does work?? To me this is looking
like a bug and I'm not sure whether it's the sieve plugin or the dovecot
deliver program. I have also had no luck the the "reject" sending any
reply back to the sender.
My setup:
OS: Solaris 10 sparc platform
postfix: 2.5.2
dovecot: 1.1.2
sieve plugin: 1.1.5

Dovecot and the Maildir path
System basics
??? Centos 7.3
??? Dovecot 2.2.32 (dfbe293d4)
I am working on a replacement mail server for work and one of the features I wanted was ldap authentication
After much fiddling I got it to work.
But I encountered a issue where two different methods of testing a mail account resulted in the
mail_location being different
I set? mail_location = maildir:/var/spool/maildir/%d/%n/Maildir

Sorry to bring this up again.
I have now configured my test server to pass all email messages off to
our central campus email filter gateway. This gateway scans all email
traffic for viruses/spam before being delivered to any local mail servers.
Once I did this my auto vacation replies are getting canned due to the
fact the from header line is empty

I have run into one issue with the filters that I am unsure where this a filter is being set.

I have setup dovecot-ldap.conf.ext to control my LDAP query's
My current layout used filters based on looking at the posixAccount attributes

some HOWTOs explicitly want you to use two config files, because Dovecot
maintains two different connections for passdb and userdb queries, which
is faster. So if you have copied the config file, instead of symlinked
them, you might have to change two

Sieve scripts not replicated
Hi,
FWIW this was also reported back in August[1] - experienced with 2.3.2.1
(not sure if earlier 2.3 releases were affected) and currently
reproducible with latest 2.3.3 stable release.
