dovecot and postfix virtual mailbox domains
Hello,
I'm trying to get dovecot and postfix virtual domains working on an fc6
system. My software versions are postfix 2.4.5 installed from rpm and
dovecot 1.0.3 also installed from rpm.
I'm only running secure protocols, pop3s at the moment, imaps later on.
I've set up postfix for virtual mailbox domains as per it's howto on the
subject and confirmed that email sent

Help please: Migrating Courier imap - Dovecot (Postfix virtual mailbox domains)
I'm trying to migrate from qmail to postfix.
The original server is combo of qmail and Courier imap (no pop mailboxes)
I have a working Postfix config and had imap working with Courier imap on
the new server. I thought I would experiment with Dovecot as it has some
good press.
I have moved the contents of my original maildir's to the new server and
ste permissions and group membership

dovecot LDA w/virtual domains and postfix
Hi,
I've been trying to follow the documentation that I am finding, but am running
into trouble getting things set up correctly for postfix + virtual domains
(using ldap) with dovecot LDA. I can get it to work without LDA, but I'm
running into permissions problems when I try to run with LDA. I am wondering
if anyone has any good examples of configuring this.
I basically have a

postfix+lda+ virtual users, confusion
I thought it would be nice to have vboxes insead of user logins ...
Now I am confuesed and in trouble ..
My server serves 2 domains
so
user1 at domain1.com
is the same as
user1 at domain2.org
I've created the mail_location string with %n
and static userdb with %n
dovecot creates 2 mail user directories
user1 at domain1.com
user1 at domain2.org
What the heck am I missing .. ??

two unrelated issues, lastlogin, and an out of memory fatal error
Hello,
I've got a few misc issues that I'm trying to get a handle on.
I'm having what is probably a simple error with last logins. It's not
working, unable to write values to the database. Here's the log lines:

Fully virtualized w/ postfix?
Hi folks,
I've poked through the archives and google and have not seen how do do this.
Is it possible to virtualize ALL emails on a system? That is, I want
delivery only to e.g. /var/mail/vmail/domain.tld/user/Maildir/, and for
authentication & userdb to:
1) Try /etc/passwd, and if someone is there, automatically append the
"default" domain, otherwise,
2) Authenticate off a

Trying to get DSpam+Dovecot working with Postfix and local/virtual domains
Hi,
I'm hoping that someone might be able to help, as I've been going in
circles with trying to get the right configuration done here. I'm also
not sure whether this is more of a Dovecot or DSpam question, so I'm
posting the same to both mailing lists.
My goal is to have a mail setup that is as follows:
[Incoming email] --> [Postfix] --> [Amavis] --> [DSpam] -->

Dovecot 1.2.12 + Postfix + virtual domains: delivering to system users
As mentioned in my previous posting, I've set up a mailserver for a domain of
Winboxen, authenticated through Active Directory. After some struggles, I
finally got that working. But I also need to receive emails for a few system
users on the mailserver (like postmaster, and a couple of accounts set up
for maintaining the system).
I thought, based on the way I read the documentation,

All messages in double in a virtual mailbox.
Hello,
I've got some virtual maiboxes that are configured as follows :
!RealMail.Sent
RealMail.Sent
all
In all those mailboxes, all the messages appears in double. I don't
think it's the expected behaviour, but I perhaps missed something.
Here's my dovecot -n :

Dovecot deliver + sieve + postfix virtual + mysql ?
Hey there guys.
I have successful postfix + mysql + sagator + clamav + spamassassin + dovecot
setup (it was a really crazy month full of tweaking :]) and the only thing i
miss is some per maildir specific filtering. i decided to use sieve.
everything is fine except that dovecot's deliver process doesn't see the
actual .dovecot.sieve file with filtering rules in the root of a maildir.

replication of a big mailbox
I'm running dovecots replicator successfully on 33 mailboxes. There is
only one mailbox (the biggest one, 167000 mails) that is not replicating
successfully.
After 10 minutes the "source" starts logging these messages:
dovecot: dsync-local(foo at example.com): Error: dsync(imap.netsend.nl):
I/O has stalled, no activity for 600 seconds
dovecot: dsync-local(foo at example.com):

Postfix/Dovecot virtual - directory structure
Hi, perhaps I should post this in a Postfix forum but I'll give it a
shot: I want my accounts sorted under /home/vmail/[domain]/[username]
(and I managed to get Dovecot to look for mail there with %d and %n ),
but how do I tell Postfix to sort the mail? I can't figure out how to do
it. The virtual_mail_base is /home/vmail/ but there I get a bunch of
folders in the form

Errata: dovecot + ldap + virtual mailbox: building mail location path
Hi all again,
I've just realized that I did a bad cut&paste in my previous mail, then
I rewrite my request. I apologize.
I am trying to set up my dovecot configuration using LDAP and virtual
mailboxes. I succeeded in authenticating the users correctly with LDAP,
but have problems with referencing the correct mail location directory.
I manage several domains. The mailboxes are stored

Mailbox directory permissions (LDA, 0600 -> 0660, virtual users)
Hello,
I have a quite common dovecot configuration with virtual users support:
1. User configuration is stored in MySQL database.
2. Mailboxes are owned by vmail:vmail with permission 0600 or
drwx------.
Is it possible to change mailbox mode to 0660?
Dovecot version is 2.1.7
Part of SQL configuration:
