Upgrade from 0.99.x to 1.1.x
Hi! I want to upgrade a Dovecot installation from 0.99.14 to 1.1.15, so I had a look at the following wiki article: http://wiki.dovecot.org/Upgrading?action=show&redirect=UpgradingDovecot The article http://wiki.dovecot.org/Upgrading/1.0 says something about .customflags -> dovecot-keywords and .subscriptions -> subscriptions change/conversion:

Mustek PowerMust 1000/1400/2000 USB (megatec, megatec_usb?)
Hi, a few days ago, I bought some of those Mustek UPSes that have both a serial and a USB connector. Currently only the serial port is supported by the megatec driver. This works fine so far. Now I have seen there is a megatec_usb driver, which currently only supports 2 other UPSes. How can I help to find out whether the PowerMust might actually work with the megatec_usb driver? -- Regards,

Winbind + SSH + AIX - Connection to aixserver01 closed by remote host
Hello everyone. I was able to get an AIX box configured with winbind, and it looks like everything is working as expected but ssh to the machine and I hope you can help me with this. On the AIX server I'm able to issue wbinfo -u and -g with the right information and also I'm able to do a "su - <AD user>" without any problem. But when doing a remote SSH I just get

Asterisk hangs up SIP call after 6 200 retransmits

Extensions will not go to voicemail
I have a remote installation that connects via IAX from my office pbx. When I call an extension on the remote pbx, after the dial period, the call is terminated. rsync fails to exclude... sometimes?
Hello List. I am using rsync to pull html files from a shared drive to 2 web server boxes to keep the files synchronized. However, I have a few files I do not want rsync to copy over because they contain information specific (IP address) to the box hosting them. Rsync seems to intermittently ignore the exclude statement and copies them from time to time. Is there a way to absolutely prevent

Dovecot as a (quota) policy server for Postfix
Hi guys, I'm currently experimenting with Postfix, Dovecot and OpenLDAP to setup a mail server hosting virtual users. The standard stuff works fine so far. The only thing that doesn't work as I'd like it to do is Quota. Currently, Dovecot handles/enforces quota through the deliver LDA. When Postfix tries to deliver a mail to a mailbox that is over quota, the deliver LDA bounces the

cannot setup print in w2k on debian/samba/winwind/cups server
hi. I am trying to get print working and have a hard time indeed... My goal is to replace our nt4 print server with a linux/samba one as we have problems serving printers and drivers to win2000 workstations (and I don't want to set up a win2000 server for printing, and have the same problem _again_ when switching to XP ;-) The situation so far : - Debian woody - Samba 2.2.4-1 - Winbind

LOG_AUTHPRIV and the default syslog.conf
Hello, Some time ago I wrote PR conf/48170, which discussed the following problem: Syslog messages of facility LOG_AUTHPRIV and priority LOG_NOTICE (or higher) are sent by default to the world-readable log file /var/log/messages. That seems unacceptable since the facility LOG_AUTHPRIV is for hiding sensitive log messages inside a protected file, e.g., /var/log/auth.log. For example, login(1)

Call forwarding...
Sorry for posting this again, but it seems to have become attached to another thread. Guess I replied to another message instead of starting a new one... I'm using voiptalk.org for incoming and outgoing calls and SIP phones for extentions (so all IP based -

Why ssh client breaks connection in expecting SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS state?
I have a client host that I don't have access to now, which attempts to establish ssh connection back to my BSD server using the private key. Client runs this command: /usr/bin/ssh -i ~/.ssh/my_key_rsa -o "ExitOnForwardFailure yes" -p $HPORT $HUSER@$HOST -R $LPORT:localhost:$LPORT -N On the server debug log looks like this: Connection from NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN port 43567 debug1: HPN

Weird behavior in receive_data function
Dear List, I'm trying to get diff/removed data and it's offset out. So I write a functions in receive_data. When I run backup, I found there is a weird behavior which I don't understand. i = recv_token(f_in, &data) will receive (i = -1, offset2 = 0) some where in the middle of the transfer procedure. That's to say, it's going to transfer the first data block from sender,

Samba Audit Logs
Hi, My apologies if this isn't the right place to ask this question. We have trying to setup auditing in Samba but can't seem to get it to work. The audit log file is empty and we see some entries about file/folders in the /var/log/samba/%m but not the actual audit bits. Can someone please assist or point in the correct direction? syslog = 0 log file = /var/log/samba/%m Log level = 0
