Connecting to dovecot
Hi All,
I've got a brand new dovecot installation. I'm new to dovecot, so please be gentle :-)
Anyway,
I'm getting some errors when I try to connect to dovecot. I've tried
searching the web and haven't been able to find a lot of information.
Here's the config info:
# dovecot --version
1.1.2
# dovecot -n
sudo dovecot -n
# 1.1.2: /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc 2.5 libexec installed without program-prefix
I build llvm-gcc as:
../llvm-gcc4.2-2.5.source/configure --enable-languages=c,c++ --program-
prefix=llvm
So it should install into /usr/local/... but add llvm- prefix. This is so
llvm-gcc is found by llvm
(http://llvm.org/releases/2.5/docs/GettingStarted.html claims that's what it
is looking for)
and also so there will be no conflict with system gcc.
But I see:

syncing imap servers with imapsync
hello list,
I am attempting to sync two imap servers using the imapsync perl script. It seems handy and easy.
Here's what happens when I try to do this:
#
# Postfix master process configuration file. For details on the format
# of the file, see the master(5) manual page (command: "man 5 master").
# -o smtpd_sasl_auth_enable=yes

deliver custom maildir creation
/ I'm testing a new setup of postfix using deliver to put the messages
into the user's maildir, and am curious if there is a way to make
deliver create custom maildirs when it delivers to a valid user without
a maildir?
Right now it only creates the inbox, I'd like it to create the .sent/
.Trash/ and .SPAM dirs. Is this possible?
Thanks

The preferred way to install LLVM and LLVM-GCC is the same on pretty much
any Linux system and described here:

Time just moved backwards
This wins the 2007 award for strangest (or most amusing) log message:
dovecot: Time just moved backwards by 13 seconds. This might cause a lot of
problems, so I'll just kill myself now.
It does, unfortunately, leave dovecot dead, which was pretty mysterious to
me. Maybe it could re-exec instead?

sync with gmail?
Now that gmail added imap, I've been trying to see if I can sync gmail/imap
with my local dovecot maildir. I've been trying offlineimap. So far, I've
created a loop resulting in a directory with size > 1000000 entries.
Anyone try this and have a working setup?

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc 2.5 libexec installed without program-prefix
OK, let me rephrase this. What is the preferred way to install llvm + llvm-
gcc onto a fedora system?
Here is what I used:
../llvm-gcc4.2-2.5.source/configure --enable-languages=c,c++ --program-
prefix=llvm
make
make install
../llvm-2.5/configure --enable-optimized --prefix=/usr/local
make
make install

(off-topic)Update sii-3512A serial ata controller - which flash memory?
Hi.
I had to update the BIOS of a Silicon Image 3512A Serial ATA controller.
I''m not using RAID.
When I run the updater program (updflash.exe), it asks me to choose
flash memory from a list, something like: AMD Am29F010B (1 Megabit), AMD
Am29LV01B (1 Megabit), etc.
How can I find out which is flash memory of the controller?
Thanks

6TB SCSI RAID vs. Centos
I have an Infortrend RAID box I'd like to see as one big 6TB partition,
but I only can get 2.2TB partitions to work. I was trying to do this
with an Adaptec controller but apparently they are only (any of them) 48
bits wide. Does anybody have a working system for SCSI/Centos over
2.2TB?

why not option to automatically add pub key?
One of the annoyances of ssh is the need to transfer the public key from
client machine to server machine, and append to authorized_keys. Although
it's simple to do, it's annoying to have to do this manually. Why can't
this be automated? ssh offers to add new machine to known_hosts. Why
doesn't it offer to add the public key to authorized_keys?

Printer Configuration
There used to be a CUI tool to configure printers from a server without X
running.
Is there still that tool but renamed to something else?
Or do you have to use VNC and X to remotely configure printers starting with
5.x?

force ntlm
Hi
We have a problem with the one way trusts between the DEV and PROD
domains (Windows 2003). Microsoft told me to use NTLM instead of
kerberos.
Is there a way to force samba to use NTLM (or NTLMv2) instead of kerberos?

What is the best way to do a (server-side) backup of all mail in a
user's mail?
I don't think I'm doing anything weird as far as configs go; here's
dovecot -n if it helps:
