v1.0.14 released
http://dovecot.org/releases/1.0/dovecot-1.0.14.tar.gz
http://dovecot.org/releases/1.0/dovecot-1.0.14.tar.gz.sig
Since v1.1.0 release is getting near, this could well be the last v1.0
release. I'll still fix important bugs, but if the bugfix is large or
affects only few people it'll probably get fixed only in v1.1 releases.

Finally upgrading from v1.0.15 to v1.2.16 -- advice please
It's long over due, but now I finally plan on upgrading from v1.0.15 to
v1.2.16 on our servers. Would appreciate any comments!
We have 7 servers, all running of the same GPFS filesystem. Both
maildirs and indexes are stored here. We use dovecot for POP/IMAP and
deliver. Currently we're using mysql as authentication source, but want
to move to using ldap instead.
Can we upgrade one server

Custom flags in v1.0.15
Hello all,
I'm having problems with setting custom flags on a dovecot imap setup,
with mbox mail store. I was running v1.0rc15 on a Debian Etch box,
upgraded recently to v1.0.15, but nothing changed.
The problem :
I read my mail using IMAP. In Thunderbird (various versions, current one
being v2.0.0.19), I can set various message flags (Important, Personal,
Work, ... mapped to IMAP as

No changes since v1.1.rc13. Below are the largest changes since v1.0:

they can't be opened anymore with Dovecot versions earlier than

ManageSieve SECURITY hole: virtual users can edit scripts of other virtual users (all versions)
Hello,
While updating the ManageSieve implementation to the latest draft
specification I noticed a major omission in the way script names are
handled. Essentially, script names are directly appended to the sieve
storage directory path and suffixed with '.sieve'. This does not take
the use of '../' in script names into account. Therefore, clever virtual

v1.1.8 released
http://dovecot.org/releases/1.1/dovecot-1.1.8.tar.gz
http://dovecot.org/releases/1.1/dovecot-1.1.8.tar.gz.sig
Most importantly mbox bugfixes. v1.1 should finally be as stable with
mboxes as it was with v1.0. Hopefully we'll also soon have the first
v1.2 beta release and the final v1.2.0 somewhat soon after that.

Why dovecot does not want to read my acl file?
Hi,
Simple Scenario: Shared namespace and a specific UNIX group should have
access to it. System is Debian lenny (stable).
# cat /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf
[...]
namespace public {
separator = .
prefix = Shared.
location = maildir:/var/mail/shared
}
mail_executable = /usr/local/sbin/dovecot-imap-fix.sh
mail_drop_priv_before_exec = no #just to make sure
[...]
# dpkg -l | grep dovecot

Courier->dovecot migration script
HI All,
We have the latest Dovecot 1.1.6 running and I need to migrate some
POP3 users over from Courier to Dovecot and would need to convert the
courierpop3dsizelist to maintain the UIDs.
I just need to confirm that the script
(http://www.dovecot.org/tools/courier-dovecot-migrate.pl) only works
for Dovecot v1.0 and not for v1.1?
As the dovecout-uidlist file that is created (by the script) is not

http://dovecot.org/releases/1.1/rc/dovecot-1.1.rc6.tar.gz.sig

candidate" name. It contains everything I require from v1.1.0 release.
There are two bugs left that I'd like to get fixed, but they won't block

Problem with quota-dict
Hi,
I wanted to migrate a mailserver from cyrus to dovecot. The new setup was
using postfixadmin let the domain admins configure the hostet domains.
To view the used quota in postfixadmin the usage of the quota dict backend is
required. I have configured it according to the wiki but everytime I connect I
get a sucessfully login and then every next command hangs. It seems to me,
that the dict

LDAP Memory Leak
Hi Timo
I use LDAP auth on a system with around 2000 email account. I use dual
OpenLDAP servers.
I haven't noticed a leak of memory. Is there any more information and I
will have a look to see if I can see anything that might help. Is it only
affecting certain machines or all?
Regards
