Odd internal vs. External dialplan issue
I have the following in my extensions.conf [ext-local] exten => _53XX,1,Wait(2) exten => _53XX,2,NoOp,Dialing ${EXTEN} from ext-local-custom exten => _53XX,3,Macro(dialout-trunk,2,${EXTEN},,) This is used to match inbound caller-id for my legacy PBX. It works fine for inbound calls, but not for internal SIP calls. If I call from a SIP phone that is also in [ext-local], it looks like it

Registry backend changes with CTDB not noticed by other nodes?
Hi! I'm working on a 2-node ctdb-clustered Samba. I'm almost there (hope so), but Samba doesn't seem to notice the modified registry that is distributed with ctdb. On a single node the registry is working. CTDB picks up changes, including the registry, and they are synced to the other node (verified with net conf addshare/delshare and tdbdump on /var/ctdb/persistent/registry*). The

Queue forks asterisk and then leaves the extra processes lying around
Hi, I have a problem with Queue where by a call comes in to the queue and if all the phones are busy and the queue reaches the timeout, it will fork a process and leave it sitting there before going off to the next step in the dial plan and continuing normally. This doesn't cause any problems except for I assume that it will eventually use up all the memory on the machine and it messes with

problems with iconv
I'm at wit's ends here and need some help. I've downloaded and compiled iconv versions 1.13 and 1.14 - libiconv.so.2.5.0 and libiconv.so.2.5.1 and copied the iconv all over, replacing the native iconv on my Solaris machine. Still when I try to run the configure I get: checking iconv.h usability... yes checking iconv.h presence... yes checking for iconv.h... yes checking for

'deadtime' in Samba 3.0.13
Hi, I currently have deadtime = 15 in my smb.conf. This featured worked good to disconnect clients that have been idle for > 15 minutes in the past. With the 3.0.13 version, it seems to do nothing. As in, it just keeps the user connected indefinitely. Here is what I see when no one is currently at the office and everyone is logged off their computer. Thanks [root@spicy p]#

vlmc - "In vlmc(traffic.clusters.stationary, cutoff = i) : alphabet with >1-letter strings; trying to abbreviate"
Dear all (copying the package author), I have a question on the vlmc package. I am trying to model a time series, where each element can take one of 11 values (the result of some clustering). When I run the following command (synthetic data to facilitate self-contained example) I get the following warning: ("alphabet with >1-letter strings; trying to abbreviate") +++ START+++ >

help with routing and multiple subnets
Gents, first of all thanks for tinc, and thanks in advance for your advice. At the risk of revealing my stupidity and opening myself to ridicule.... I am trying to connect a new remote lan into an existing tinc vpn with the central tinc vpn server located at 10.57.132.1 on the 10.57.132.0/24 subnet. I set up this central tinc vpn server myself along with several other remote lans linked to

Apache bug, eats memory...
Hi, the following pieces of mail came by on BugTraq. It appears that Apache (1.2.5 and 1.2.6 tested, 1.3 is vulnerable according to Ben Laurie [Apache member]) doesn''t handle the case, when there are a lot (say 10000) of "User-Agent:"-headers. (other headers could also work!). An exploit with source-code was posted on BugTraq. excerpts from the mail by

Problems balancing two uplink providers
Hi all, I have implemented a solution with a machine balancing the network load between two DSL providers as is explained in the LARTC Howto. It is apparently working correctly, but i have some problems. The problem is basically that some packets go out by each ADSL interface with the source address of the other ADSL interface. I think that the routing based on source address isn''t
