Debugging sieve-options
Hello all! I am using a dovecot-server since several weeks - and am really impressed about this server (after using courier and cyrus). I tried to install the sieve-plugin now (CentOS RPM) and configured sieve like described in your WIKI (and on several other pages). Unfortunately I can not connect to port 2000 (sieve-administration?!) nor are there any messages regarding sieve in the logs.

PowerBuilder 10-based app: Printing issue
Hi to all, Last year I ask for help here, for a PB-based application issue, and the good folks here pointed me to a solution :-) Now I got another problem. Part of the app consists in print invoices. That function works in Windows, but in Wine I got an screwed printout. Just for experimental purposes, I installed the "CUPS-PDF" package, to get the PDF view of the invoice, and the PDF

Getting the followng error when managesieve is enabled. Any other post I've read says this problem is because the service hasn't restarted after upgrade. I've restarted dovecot & postfix many times, reboot machine too. Still get the error. Racking my brains on this!! Live CD/DVD for encoding?
Hi - I'm running CentOS, which means many of the support libraries are a bit on the stale side. I have occasional need to transcode to theora - but it seems the transcode program, which I have managed to successfully install, does not have theora as an output option. It seems I have to use a program called ffmpeg2theora which I just can not get to build on CentOS - I'm guessing

Script Needed! Will pay
Hello Everyone I need to restore 1 server to another and need a script Heres what I would like to do is restore a server from #1 to #2 * Rsync the following files and folders to server2 from server1 exactly where they are on server1 so /etc/file.conf on server1 goes to /etc/file.conf on server2 * They need to keep the same permissions and owner/group as well * I was thinking

Dovecot LDA, virtual users, multiple uids: No luck
Hi, I'm trying to get Dovecot's deliver to create and use mailboxen with one uid per user. Reading the wiki, I decided to go with the sudo attempt, but I'm stuck because deliver fails to create the intermediate directories. The auth.log has this on the matter: sudo: dovelda : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/var/spool/postfix ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/usr/lib/dovecot/deliver -f toni at

Maildirsize automatically (re)build
Hi, Im testing with 1.1RC1. I read here: http://wiki.dovecot.org/Quota/Maildir "If you configure quota limits in Dovecot (e.g. quota=maildir:storage=102400(kilobytes)), Dovecot makes sure that this header is kept up to date. If the file does not exist, it's simply rebuilt." This is my query: password_query = SELECT username as user, username as userdb_user, passwd as password,

newbie: problem with IMAPS + mutt + Thunderbird
Hi, I'm a Dovecot newbie and have some problems with the configuration/the resulting interoperability. My setup looks like this: I receive my mail using qmail-ldap and sort it with a number of means into ~/Mailbox/ (= INBOX) and ~/Mail/folder/ for various values of 'folder' (generally one folder per mailing list). The sorting is done via .qmail-* files, LDAP entries, and

mdbox compression
I was wondering if I should add compression support to mdbox one mail at a time or one file (~2MB) at a time. The tradeoffs are: * one mail at a time allows quickly seeking to wanted mail inside the file, but it can't compress mails as well * one file at a time compresses better, but seeking is slow because it can only be done by uncompressing all the data until the wanted offset is reached

Oddness with SMB, PsExec, Win 7, etc...
Hi, I've got a simple PHP script which is using psexec from sysinternals to execute commands on a remote machine (which uses SMB under the hood). If I run it from DOS it works fine. If I run the same script via apache it hangs. Fired up Wireshark and had a look at what was going on. In the working version the treeconnect calls go to the IPC$ and then the ADMIN$ accounts on the remote machine.

I was wondering if there was an elegant way to extend a require array. To whit it would be wonderful to do somthing like this: class one { service { awesome: require => [ File[one], File[two] ] } file { one: ... two: ... } } class two inherits one { Service[awesome] { Require => + [ File[three], File[four] ] } file { three: ... four:
