Out of memory
Sorry for previous post with incorrect referrals/thread.
For large mailboxes (64k + messages) using maildir I got random "out

User Unknown Sendmail Error
I am totally stumped here. I have setup a dovecot user and I can telnet to
port 110 and login no problem with that user. When I try to send mail I get
an error from sendmail:
Mar 4 13:39:56 flashyhome sendmail[5014]: m24JdtGp005014: <paul at fleeky.com>...
User unknown
Now apparenly I need to setup the sendmail.mc file...which I have:

Dovecot auth-master socket as postfix table lookup source.
Hi all.
Intro: Timo has already done great job providing patch which allows
postfix to authenticate directly against dovecot (included in latest
postfix sorce code/release).
Now I'm looking around for one more thing. I want to use dovecot's
user db as source for postfix lookup tables.
In particular: virtual_mailbox_maps
Main reason is - postfix access rules and fighting against spam.

dovecot sieve notify example?
Dear list,
I was trying to use the "notify" action with dovecot sieve
but I just couldn't get it work. The relevant lines look as follows:
,--------
|require ["fileinto", "notyfy"];
| if header :contains ["to", "cc"] ["userA at example.com", "userB at example.com"] {
| notify
| :method "mailto"

Dovecot Sieve crash
I just transferred the files in my home directory from an x86_64 machine
to an i686 machine. This included the .dovecot.sieve and .dovecot.sievec
files in my home root, and the Dovecot index files in my ~/Maildir
directory. Everything seemed to be working until I tried sending an email
that triggers a Sieve "redirect" command, then I got the following in the
logs. I then tried

dovecot-1.1 + dovecot-sieve-1.1 deliver backtraces
Hi,
I am trying dovecot-1.1 with dovecot-sieve-1.1.
First, dovecot -n do not report about deliver settings.
They are:

hostname = parkheights.dyndns.org
mail_plugins = cmusieve
mail_plugin_dir = /usr/lib64/dovecot11/modules/lda

lda sieve broken after upgrade
upgraded to rc19. using maildirs. solaris 9/cc.
removed all modules from pop/imap/lda subdirs and first upgraded dovecot
to rc19 and then used dovecot-sieve-1.0.1 sources to build against the
dovecot source directory ( everything now builds nicely on Solaris, thank
you Timo ). added "cmusieve" to the list of plugins used by lda.
ail_plugins = cmusieve
now getting this:

deliver assertion failure
Deliver from latest 1.1 HG with sieve also from latest 1.1 HG is dying
with an assertion failure when it delivers to my mailbox. Other
mailboxes on the same system are unaffected, but I can read my mailbox
fine through IMAP.
Dovecot and sieve were compiled with -march=nocona -pipe -ggdb
I've commented out my entire sieve script and the problem still occurs.

dovecot-deliver occasionally fails to deliver, leaving no clues
Hello,
I have a FreeBSD 7.1 x86 system using dovecot with postfix and a mysql
user database. Everything works completely fine, except that on
occasion dovecot-deliver fails. When postfix tries to redeliver the
message in about 15 minutes, it succeeds. So this isn't a very big
problem, just an annoying puzzle.
Here's the postfix log. At first, I thought it could be a postfix
