Using IMAP keywords instead of mailboxes for spam with dovecot-antispam
Hi, Some email clients, like Evolution, use IMAP keywords to flag spam instead of moving mail to dedicated spam mailbox. This is very useful, as false positives can be easily "moved" to original mailbox simply by removing $Junk keyword. I couldn't find a way how to integrate antispam software, like dspam, with dovecot, so that antispam automatically learns ham/spam. I have found

/var/amavis
Hello all, My /etc/group is not quite in order (a long story), and now I need to correct privileges right here and there. I would ask someone who has amavisd-new to show me the corresponding listing as this: [root at mail amavis]# ls -l /var/amavis total 20 -rw-r----- 1 amavis 500 0 Oct 13 15:05 amavisd.lock -rw-r--r-- 1 amavis mail 5 Oct 13 11:06 amavisd-milter.pid srwxr-xr-x 1 amavis

More on amavis/clam permission errors on Centos 6.3
I should probably find either the amavis or clam list(s) and take this there? Anyway, I have totally rebuilt my machine with clean installs. I have spent time carefully (I hope!) studying the amavis and clamav conf files before starting them and running the tests. Here is what I am getting: Jan 30 14:14:10 test1 postfix/pickup[6682]: DA8082A099B: uid=0 from=<root> Jan 30 14:14:10

Calling dovecot-lda from within Antispam pipe script (bash) seems to have no effect
Hello, I'm attempting to configure the Dovecot Antispam plug-in on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with Dovecot 2.0.19. Everything seems to be in order with one considerable exception: when my pipe script (a simple Bash shell script) calls the dovecot-lda executable, absolutely nothing seems to result. If I copy/paste the exact same command into the terminal, the mail is delivered to the target mailbox,

using postfix+dovecot+squirrell+amavisd and spam folder per user
Hi All, As I say in the subject I use postfix, dovecot with squirrellmail as webmail and amavisd as spam control, My problem is that all the spam I catch is send to /var/lib/amavis/virus but I want to send this mails to the spam folder of each user. This way the user can see the mails and determine if they are really spam or false positive. I dont know exactly what element of the system is the

Amavis on Centosl help
I'm moving from Ubuntu to CentOS 7 Previously, on Ubuntu, installing amavisd would lead to etc/amavis/conf.d that contained: 01-debian 05-domain_id 05-node_id 15-av_scanners 15-content_filter_mode 20-debian_defaults 21-ubuntu_defaults 25-amavis_helpers 30-template_localization 40-policy_banks 50-user However installing amavisd on centos leads to a spaghetti config file (i.e.

[SERVERBUG] failed to send mail with SA and antispam plugin
Thank you for your helpful hints on debugging this issue. I wanted first to get the mail which generates this error but unfortunately the user already deleted it as well from his trash. Now I got another hint and it looks like this mail had a big attachment to it. Is it possible that spamc generated this error due to the size of the mail? Postfix vs Sendmail
I have two CentOS-6.4 servers, in different places. I am running postfix/amavis on one, and sendmail/procmail on the other. I don't recall having any difficulty setting up sendmail many years ago using sendmail.mc . But I found postfix very complicated to setup last year. (It's working fine now.) I recall that when I asked for advice one person advised me to read 2 books on postfix, and

SELinux, Amavis, Clamav
Regarding the brilliant wiki site: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Amavisd?highlight=%28Amavis%29 I faced the following issue on CentOS 6.2: "Spamassind" saves each message and its attached part in a folder in clamd accesses the folder, creates itself a temporary folder and deletes it afterwards. This was stopped by SELinux and caused the virus scan to fail. This action causes SE-Linux

amavis-new and mysql
Trying to figure this out, as it worked on my old server, but lots is different on my new server.... I forgot the mysql connection for amavis-new in my new mailserver, as none of the tutorials I was pouring through mentioned this, even though they claim they supported virtual domains... Maybe amavis-new has gotten smart enough to recognize a domain as not the one describe and suspect

Amavis on Centosl help
I'm forwarding the answer from my colleague: release notes: - provide two new subroutines available for calling from config files: include_config_files() and include_optional_config_files(), each take a list of filenames as arguments, and reads & evaluates them just like normal configuration files specified on a command line (option -c or a default amavisd.conf). This provides a

I wonder if there is a way to confirme sa-learn is correctly feeded by the antispam plugin. dovecot version : 2.1.7 spamassassin version : 3.3.2 (both packaged in debian stable, with postfix and amavis) i configured dovecot's antispam plugin

spamassassin, postfix with dovecot lda?
Hi all, I am trying to setup a mail server using postfix (virtual_mailboxes), spamassassin and dovecot, along with SQL where appropriate. From my research so far I realized that, for several reasons, it is required for me to use dovecot LDA instead of maildrop, local, procmail or other alternatives. My configuration was working flawlessly, until spamassassin per-user configuration came to

Email pid issue
Hello gents, First time poster here! Current system running Centos 6.8. Buddy of mine posted a few days back about me wanting to move from Postfix 2.6.x to 2.8 to above, still under centos 6.8. I might move over to 7, but probably not for a while, don't have the resources presently to make this happen. Running Centos 6.8, postfix 2.6.6, clamav 0.99.1. Basic Centos 6.8 box fully patched

New mailserver problems
Well, in part we will see if you get this and I get the return. I JUST launched my new mail server after a few miscues. Actually the OS is Redsleeve6, which is the arm port of Centos 6, and perhaps some of my problems may come down to porting problems. But first, it may be that despite my testing, I missed something in the configurations. First clamd problems: Nov 19 08:09:54 z9m9z
