lib90_cmusieve_plugin.so: undefined symbol: message_decoder_init
After upgrading our CentOS 5 box to the latest revisions last week (including Dovecot 1.1), we're seeing the following error message in the log files. Sieve was working fine with Dovecot 1.0. I have yet to turn up anything via Google for this particular error. SELinux is not logging any error messages at the moment, so I'm pretty sure that we've properly allowed all the SELinux

sieve discard
Does the keyword/action discard work by default or is there something I have to do in the configuration to get to work... maybe I missed something on http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Sieve I have the following rule: if anyof ( header :contains ["Subject"] ["Test Discard"] ) { discard; stop; } but it delivers to INBOX with or w/o the "stop;". If I change

CentOS 5 ... again
At this point I don't think I can do anymore damage to my mail server but I'd like to know if anyone else is using the pre-built RPM files from ATrpms before I install them? http://dl.atrpms.net/all/dovecot-1.1.11-0_90.el5.i386.rpm http://dl.atrpms.net/all/dovecot-sieve-1.1.6-9.el5.i386.rpm Or is there a dovecot-sieve for 1.0.7 from the rpmforge repo? I haven't found it yet but

OT: Local Mirror problems, wrong paths to RPMs with yum update
This week I set up a local mirror for a few dists, including Centos 4.0 and 4.2, and Fedora Core 3 and 4. I'm using a script called yum-pull. For the most part I really like the script, it automates the setup of your mirrors and tries a bunch of different mirrors when it goes out to get updates, if it fails on one it tries another. It uses the usual suspects, createrepo and repoview, among

Firefox and Thunderbird 2.0, Centos 5, and rpms
I am making some progress on my Centos 5 notebook build. So I am looking at Firefox and Thunderbird 2.0. Should I install them? Or is Redhat correct that there is nothing improved here and wait for 3.0? (well I have not even had a chance to look at Thunderbird 2.0, that is new)? I have the install steps we covered here back on 2/2/07; but are there rpms? I did not find anything over at

Dovecot-stable rpms
I've been searching, and I can't find any rpms of dovecot stable for RHEL 4. Does anybody know where I can get one? Ever since we went from IMAP-UW to Dovecot, we've been having frequent problems with mbox corruption, and I've read that 1.0 fixes many of those types of problems. Has anybody else found an rpm for RHEL 4 of any Dovecot greater than 1.0? -- Topher Fischer System

Building Dovecot CentOS 5 RPMs with custom LDAP packages
Hi, We are (still) mainly using CentOS 5 (5.8 x86_64). As CentOS / EL 5 standard OpenLDAP packages are rather old (2.3.x), we've been using LTB OpenLDAP packages ( http://ltb-project.org/wiki/download#openldap), which get installed in non-standard file system locations. I am not much experienced in building RPMs and preparing spec files. We are currently using dovecot RPM packages from

CentOS 6.2-x86-64
Greetings all, newbie to CentOS here. Also newbie to 64 bit installs. Package Manager problem: I found a yumex, which is not part of the 64 bit install, but it wants a way older version of python-2.4 whereas we have 2.6.6-something after the post install upgrade. 1st Question: Is there anything that can be done about this? Or is there something better, like a 64 bit synaptic to replace

dovecot rpms, .subscriptions file, mbox to maildir
Hi, I am running dovecot 0.99-14 on a Fedora Core 2 machine. I had a few questions: 1) I wanted to upgrade to the dovecot-1.0 release. However, I am not sure if that's really required. dovecot-0.99-14 has been running very well for me for quite some time. Is there a real advantage to switching to the latest release. The reason I'm asking this is because: i) I don't have too

New CentOS 5 repo: dahdi, asterisk, freepbx RPMs
Dear list, I've set up an RPM repository with several asterisk-related RPMs that I think contain some improvements upon what are already out there. The first goal is to be able to build an Asterisk + FreePBX system on CentOS 5 with the EPEL repo enabled; in our environment, where all our systems are under configuration management, either an appliance-type solution or a manual

compiling dovecot-sieve
Our server is an CentOS4.4 box and we use the atrpms built RPMs for installing dovecot. I am wanting to use the sieve plug-in so I've followed the dovecot wiki instructions, downloaded the files from CVS, but I'm not sure what configure options to use. When I try without any options I get: dovecot-config not found from /usr/src/dovecot-sieve, use --with-dovecot=PATH to give path to

Can asterisk be run as non root anymore?
safe_asterisk used to work fine but with v1.0.3 I am getting all kinds of permission errors, intermittant failures, etc. Even with file permissions relaxed and ownership set to asterisk it craps out. Seems to work fine when run as root. Comments??? -- Andrew McRory - President/CTO Linux Systems Engineers, Inc. - http://www.linuxsys.com Located in beautiful Tallahassee, Florida Office

cvs stable and 1.0.5
I see that 1.0.5 is out. I thought that if I am tracking cvs v1.0.x I would always get the newest releases. However, I just did a fresh update and install from cvs stable and it reports as only being v1.0.3. Should I just be using the tarballs rather than the cvs -r 1_0? Or maybe my initial cvs was incorrect? Thanks! -- -M There are 10 kinds of people in this world: Those who can count in

maildrop and multi-dbox
Hi there, I'm using Dovecot 2.0.9-1 under Arch Linux. Currently, I have Maildir configured, and I move all my emails into dovecot by using this sequence: 1) cron starts fetchmail periodically under user manfred to collect my mails from various email accounts. 2) In ~/.fetchmailrc I have configured /usr/bin/maildrop as MDA. 3) In ~/.mailfilter (used by maildrop) I have extensive filtering in

Shared Mailboxes with VirtualUsers and mail_location retrieved from ldap
Hello, I spend a couple of days configurating a new installation of dovecot 2.0.14 with virtual accounts and NFS storage for maildir home/mail directories. At this point I need shared mailboxes but since user mail/home locations are ldap attributes, how is it supposed I must configure this for shared mailboxes? for the users' mail/home directories I set this line: user_attrs =
