Upgrade Question about mail_location
Hi, I plan on upgrading from 1.1.13 to 1.2.4 using an RPM. I have read the wiki [1] and have a question about the mail_location variable. Currently, in 1.1.13, I use: mail_location = maildir:/var/spool/virtual_mailboxes/%h with virtual mailboxes. However, I am planning to change it to use: home=/var/spool/virtual_mailboxes mail_location = maildir:%h as part of the new configuration. Is

May Dovecot help in users education
Hello, I was wondering if dovecot could help me in my project to smoothly make all my users switch to TLS encrypted POP / IMAP sessions and forget about cleartext. My first idea was to setup dovecot as a POP/IMAP proxy for my mailhosts and ask dovecot to display a warning message or slowdown non TLS sessions. Is there any way to achieve this with dovecot? Does anybody have another idea

[LLVMdev] question about PRE
Hi, I am Jill, I'm new here and new with llvm. I find that its old PRE.cpp has been removed from llvm-1.9 and the project homepage says that a GVN-PRE pass is being implemented. Since many PRE algorithms have been suggested, and I think PRE further differs according to the specific defination of equivalence, whether it is an "optimal" algorithm and optimal at what metric, etc, can I

~/.maildir preferable to %h/Maildir and ~/Maildir?
I have a recently deployed dovecot server and am readying another. Upon updating to rc12, I note the following change in the default dovecot.conf file: -default_mail_env = mbox:/var/spool/mail/%u:INDEX=/var/dovecot/%u +mail_location = maildir:~/.maildir Integrating this change to my local dovecot.conf: # formerly used default_mail_env = maildir:%h/Maildir # dovecot default

Maildir migration - using separate INDEX and CONTROL directories?
Hi all, I'm working on a migration from Courier to Dovecot, and the courier-dovecot-migrate.pl seems to work ok, but it puts all the metadata files (dovecot-uidlist etc) in the Maildir, while I want to put them in the appropriate places as specified: mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir:INDEX=/var/mail/meta/index/%d/%1n/%1.1n/%n:CONTROL=/var/mail/meta/control/%d/%1n/%1.1n/%n

Locking problems on Dovecot 1.x in Maildir
Hi list, Overall, everything works fine, and all the emails are delivered without anything messing up. But then, from time to time, the transaction logs for some users become corrupted, meaning emails cannot be read at all from dovecot. With a bit of a search on google, it seems to be a problem with locking on the transaction log. The individual files are fine - it's maildir, so the chances

Local node indexes in a cluster backend with GFS2
Hi, all this days I'm testing a dovecot setup using lvs, director and a cluster email backend with two nodes using rhel5 and gfs2. In the two nodes of the email backend I configured mail location this way: mail_location = sdbox:/var/vmail/%d/%3n/%n/sdbox:INDEX=/var/indexes/%d/%3n/%n /var/vmail is shared clustered filesystem with GFS2 shared by node1 and node2 /var/indexes is a local

Telnet access creates new maildir folders
Hi, I am running Dovecot Version 1.0.15on a Debian server, with postfix and postfixadmin. My mailbox base is /var/mail/vmail When I send an email to a user1 at domain.com for the first time, the user "mail" creates a set of dovecot folders under /var/mail/vmail/ user1 at domain.com/ and my new emails are found in /var/mail/vmail/ user1 at domain.com/new When I test my server using

Help : generating correlation matrix with a particular structure
Hi, I would like to generate a correlation matrix with a particular structure. For example, a 3n x 3n matrix : A_(nxn) aI_(nxn) bI_(nxn) aI_(nxn) A_(nxn) cI_(nxn) aI_(nxn) cI_(nxn) A_(nxn) where - A_(nxn) is a *specified* symmetric, positive definite nxn matrix. - I_(nxn) is an identity matrix of order n - a, b, c are (any) real numbers Many attempts have been unsuccessful because a

[PATCH v2] virtio-blk: add DISCARD support to virtio-blk driver
Currently virtio-blk driver does not provide discard feature flag, so the filesystems which built on top of the block device will not send discard command. This is okay for HDD backend, but it will impact the performance for SSD backend. Add a feature flag VIRTIO_BLK_F_DISCARD and command VIRTIO_BLK_T_DISCARD to extend exist virtio-blk protocol, define 16 bytes discard descriptor for each discard

Bug#471072: logcheck-database: Moving most of violations.ignore.d to ignore.d.*
Package: logcheck-database Version: 1.2.63 Severity: normal Given that violations.d/logcheck has been emptied by 2394562ab4a13c4510c671f01ffc8f35e97f1cd3, shouldn't most of violations.ignore.d be moved to one of ignore.d.*? AIUI, all of these are currently rendered useless. (I'll gladly lend a hand; I just want to make sure this is the right thing to do.) -- System Information: Debian
