deliver: command died with signal 6
We recently upgraded to dovecot v1.0.15 (from v1.0.0 + some local fixes), and after this upgrade we've started to get a couple of failures from deliver: Jan 12 20:34:34 smtp1.ulh.mydomain.net deliver(someuser at somedomain.net): Raw backtrace: /usr/local/dovecot/libexec/dovecot/deliver(i_syslog_panic_handler+0x1c) [0x45577c] -> /usr/local/dovecot/libexec/dovecot/deliver [0x45537c] ->

Hi there, I changed postfix to pass email to spamassassin, and then deliver to dovecot LDA. It fails to deliver. The current entry in master.cf now reads: dovecot unix - n n - - pipe flags=DRhu user=vmail:vmail argv=/usr/lib/dovecot/deliver -d ${recipient} smtp inet n - - - - smtpd -o content_filter=spamassassin

Command line vs config file override for configuration params
Hi all I''m working on my modular recursive Makefile & svn-backed home for my Puppet manifests, custom functions, types, etc. So I''m trying to put together individual modules, test targets and so on. I have noticed that the $libdir (and probably the other configuration options too) sources from puppet.conf are not overridden by specifying --libdir=blah on the commmand line

Hard disk image to use with Memdisk
Hallo I would like to have an image of about 8Mb to boot with ISOLINUX and MEMDISK. I am not able to create an image complete of the MBR, as MEMDISK requires. I think I should emulate an 8Mb disk in memory or on a file, but I am able to do so only for a 'single partition'. Could you please suggest me a way to obtain the image? I can use Linux or Windows tools, it does not matter.

passing quota to deliver via command line
Is there any way to pass things like "quota=" for the quota plugin to the deliver LDA via the command line or as an environment variable or whatever? I've got all the info I need in my MTA to avoid a userdb lookup in the LDA, but I still have to do the userdb query to get the per-user quota number (the default quota works fine, of course). -- bill-dovecot at carpenter.ORG

Feature request: script generation
I did not subscribe to the list. I''ve been using shorewall for some time and I appreciate it very much. I think it would be useful to have an option to generate a script of the commands Shorewall is about to issue, instead of issuing the commands directly. This script could then be used for revision, modification, and could also be used on another system. I thought about modifying

deliver & override homedir
Hi We're in the phase of converting our existing unix-based users to virtual users. Goal is to make mail-spool totaly independent of home-spool. For that reason, NO files can be written to home. I've solved the problem for all files, except for .dovecot.lda-dupes. I can see in duplicate.c #define DUPLICATE_PATH "~/.dovecot.lda-dupes" I thought being clever and override in

deliver command line options "visible" in sieve script
I use dovecot mailbox as destination of fetches from a few POP mailboxes. I would like to pass name of "source mailbox" to sieve script via deliver's command line option(s). As I understand I should use -a "mailbox at domain". How it would be accessible in sieve script? -- [pl>en: Andrew] Andrzej Adam Filip : anfi at onet.eu It is always the best policy to tell the

lda deliver per instance sieve configuration
I'd like to override the sieve settings in dovecot.conf for a deliver instance that is being run from a custom archiving script. This is dovecot 1.0.15 on debian lenny. Is this possible? Doesn't appear to be looking through the WIKI. If it's not any suggestions? The problem is the user specific sieve scripts override where the archived mail is supposed to be stored

Time just moved backwards error even with ntpd
Scenario: server PC abruptly switched off due to power cable problems (an UPS cannot solve this issue), so during shutdown Linux was not able to resinchronize the system clock. After a few hours the server come back on, Linux booted and the services (ntpd, dovecot and many others) started But the system clock was 45 minutes ahead, so: Jan 19 11:13:39 gw ntpd[2112]: synchronized to LOCAL(0),

Postfix: Command died with status 89: "/usr/lib/dovecot/deliver"
One of our servers running Dovecot 1.0.beta3 and dovecot-lda has failed to deliver a few messages and I can't figure out why. Very few messages bounce and I don't see any common thread between them other than time. The 15:19:11 message was a company wide announcement and the other 4 servers (identical configuration) were able to deliver it. Feb 26 20:24:46 rental deliver:

How to shade area between lines in ggplot2
Hi Put fill outside aes p+geom_ribbon(aes(ymin = slope_1*x + intercept_1 - 1/w[2], ymax = slope_1*x + intercept_1 + 1/w[2]), fill = "blue", alpha=0.1) The "hole" is because you have two levels of data (red and blue). To get rid of this you should put new data in ribbon call. Something like newdat <- trainset newdat$z <- factor(0) p+geom_ribbon(data=newdat, aes(ymin =

Median line with stripchart
Dear all, I would like to ask if it possible to draw a median line in a Stripchart, either using the built-in STRIPCHART function or with another package. I was expecting stripchart() to work more or less like boxplot(), but I couldn't find an easy way to draw a mean or median line, neither I found this option in other packages. Could somebody help? Best regards, Luigi Marongiu, MSc

deliver: keep existing From_ line
Hi! I'm using procmail to filter my email. (I have to use it because of various features that are not supported by sieve.) However, I'd like to deliver mail to my mboxes using dovecots deliver program in order to update index files and speed up mbox access. Using "| $DELIVER -m <mboxname>" in my procmail receipes, everything works fine, except that the envelope sender

quota command broken
We noticed a big change in the workings of the quota command when moving from RHEL3 to CentOS5. Under RHEL3 (quota-3.10-7), quota -v essentially lists the fs quotas for all users logged into the local machine. Under CentOS5 (quota-3.13-1.2.5.el5), only one user quota is displayed, and while the actual data seems to be correct, the attribution is usually wrong. E.g. $ whoami user1 $ quota -v
